About New China Garden Restaurant

New China Garden Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant located at 12322 Largo Dr in Savannah, Georgia, serving the local community with a menu of Asian cuisine. As a "Chinese Restaurant," New China Garden aims to provide a variety of dishes popular in Chinese culinary traditions, catering to the tastes of residents and visitors in the Savannah area. They likely offer options for both dine-in and takeout, providing convenience for those seeking Chinese food.

The available customer reviews present a contrasting view of the experience at New China Garden Restaurant. One reviewer had a positive initial interaction, highlighting the restaurant's proactive customer service. They mentioned that the staff called them to confirm their online order and clarify a misunderstanding, which they appreciated. This suggests a level of care and attention to detail in handling online orders. This reviewer also found the food to be "delicious and fast," expressing satisfaction with their meal and indicating their intention to return, suggesting a positive overall experience.

However, another reviewer reported a significantly negative experience, citing issues with both pricing and food quality. This customer claimed that the prices charged in-store were considerably higher than those listed online. When they questioned this discrepancy, they were only offered a small $2.00 discount. This raises concerns about the accuracy of online menus and potential discrepancies in pricing that customers might encounter. Furthermore, this reviewer was highly dissatisfied with the food itself. They specifically mentioned ordering "vegetable lo mein" that contained a surprisingly small variety and amount of vegetables. Additionally, their "wonton soup" allegedly contained only four small dumplings and no wontons, which deviates significantly from the expected ingredients of this classic soup. The reviewer's overall assessment was the "worst Chinese food experience ever," indicating a profound level of dissatisfaction with their meal.

Considering these two reviews, New China Garden Restaurant appears to have the potential for positive customer interactions, as demonstrated by the proactive call regarding the online order and the subsequent satisfaction with the food and speed of service in one instance. However, there are also serious concerns raised about pricing inconsistencies between online listings and in-store charges, as well as significant issues with the quality and content of specific dishes like the vegetable lo mein and wonton soup. These contrasting experiences suggest a potential variability in the restaurant's service and food preparation.

Information regarding the environment of New China Garden Restaurant is not explicitly provided in these reviews. Aspects such as the restaurant's decor, cleanliness, and overall ambiance are not mentioned. Potential local users might need to visit the location or seek additional information online (if available) to form an opinion about the dining environment.

The reviews indicate that New China Garden Restaurant offers online ordering and takeout services, as one positive reviewer placed an order online. The fact that the restaurant has a physical address suggests that dine-in service is also likely available. However, there is no explicit mention of delivery services in the provided feedback. Local users interested in delivery options should contact New China Garden Restaurant directly at (912) 920-3028 or +1 912-920-3028 to inquire about their availability.

In terms of features, the proactive customer service demonstrated in the positive review, with the staff calling to clarify an online order, could be considered a positive feature. This suggests a commitment to ensuring order accuracy and customer satisfaction. However, the significant discrepancies in online versus in-store pricing and the reported poor quality and content of dishes like the vegetable lo mein and wonton soup are serious negative features that potential customers should be aware of. The inconsistency in the quality and accuracy of what is being offered is a significant concern.

There is no promotional information included in the provided reviews. Local users interested in knowing about any special offers, discounts, or new menu items at New China Garden Restaurant should contact the restaurant directly via phone. It might also be worthwhile to check if the restaurant has any online presence, such as a website or social media pages, where promotions might be advertised, although the accuracy of online pricing in general seems to be a point of concern based on one of the reviews.

In conclusion, New China Garden Restaurant in Savannah, GA, presents a mixed profile based on the limited customer reviews available. While there is evidence of proactive customer service and satisfactory food in some instances, there are also significant concerns regarding pricing discrepancies between online listings and in-store charges, as well as reported poor quality and inaccurate preparation of certain dishes. Local users considering New China Garden Restaurant should be aware of these contrasting experiences. The potential for attentive service is a positive aspect, but the issues raised about pricing transparency and food quality are serious considerations. It would be advisable for potential customers to verify pricing when placing orders, especially if relying on online menus, and to perhaps inquire about the ingredients and preparation of specific dishes before ordering. The lack of a consistent positive experience in the reviews suggests that caution might be warranted when choosing this restaurant.

This place rocks! They cared enough to call us to ensure we wanted what we ordered online, and I’m glad they did because we apparently can’t read. Food was delicious and fast. Will be back!

Worst Chinese food experience ever. First their prices online are way less than what they actually charge. When I questioned it, the woman knocked $2.00 off the bill. Second take a look at the pictures. I have never gotten vegetable lo menu with so little variety and amount of vegetables and wonton soup had four small dumplings in it no wontons!

The food was OK but it don't taste like before covid. They also over charge me, the whole time I thought I was paying lunch prices. Make sure they don't over charge you, do your math.

Weird place. They've converted the doorway to a window so you can't sit inside. I didn't see a way to order online and the sign in the window saying to call a number to order pickup had the number blanked out. It's almost as if they don't want to sell food. So, I ended up standing outside in the heat since I'd wandered over from a nearby hotel. I got the house special lo mein, which was better than average and HUGE.

All the sauces taste of warmed duck sauce and jelly…. are the same for the chicken lunches, just changed the color. I’ve had hair in my food multiple times.I just stopped going.
