Recent customer reviews raise concerns regarding both the service and the food quality at New China Express Restaurant. One customer described the phone ordering experience as rude, noting that the person taking the order seemed bothered by questions about a dish. While the food was delivered in a timely manner, the reviewer found the vegetables in their stir-fry to be hard and undercooked, and the chicken content to be minimal. Additionally, the fried rice was described as having an unpleasant oily taste that lingered, and while the sweet and sour chicken was deemed "pretty good," it also suffered from a pronounced oily taste.

Another customer reported a concerning physical reaction after eating the chicken fried rice, experiencing throat swelling that recurred and worsened upon continued consumption, suggesting the presence of an unidentified "funky" ingredient. This reviewer also noted that the crab Rangoon lacked sufficient filling.

Based on this recent feedback, potential customers should be aware of potential issues with customer service, food preparation, and ingredient quality at New China Express Restaurant. The reviews highlight concerns such as rude phone service, undercooked vegetables, minimal meat content in dishes, an unpleasant oily taste in fried and sweet and sour chicken, and a potentially problematic ingredient in the chicken fried rice. The crab Rangoon was also criticized for insufficient filling.

First time here. Lady on phone is rude when I was ordering. She seemed bothered that I asked a few questions on the chicken fried rice dish. I continued to order anyways hoping the food was worth the disrespect. Food came in a timely manner. Vegetables were hard as rocks and probably lightly blanched instead of cooked. Hardly any chicken in the chicken stir fry. The fried rice has a terrible oily taste that lingers after eating it. The sweet and sour chicken was pretty good except the oil taste was too pronounced.

I ordered the chicken fried rice and crab Rangoon. While eating my rice I noticed the back of my throat starting to swell up. I didn’t think it was from the rice because I’m not allergic to anything. After about 15 minutes it went away so I continued to eat my rice and it happened again except this time it got even worse and was very hard to swallow. I’m not sure what’s in the chicken fried rice but there’s something funky in it. Crab Rangoon didn’t have enough filling.

This place used to be awesome, but isn't anymore, the food barely has meat in it, fried rice is hard and you can just taste the flavor of oil and soy sauce. Chicken noodle soup is very oily and more water than chicken nor noodles

Love this place and have been coming here for years, but ordered for delivery this time and as I was checking out it stated they accepted cash, Mastercard or Visa was planning on paying with card but it never asked for my card information. My husband stated they use their phones for card payment (square payment) but when I checked out it stated please have cash for driver. It would be nice to know this before placing the order in case cash was not on hand.

Been coming here for 2 years, loyal to the sesame chicken and the lady loves the crab Rangoon. Highly recommend!
