About New China Express
Welcome to New China Express, a Chinese restaurant located at 1156 E 7th St in Long Beach, California. As a part of the Chinese Restaurant category, New China Express aims to serve the local community with a range of Chinese culinary options. While detailed information about the restaurant's ambiance and specific services is limited, customer reviews provide some insights into the potential dining experience.
Based on the available reviews, specific details about the environment of New China Express are not mentioned. Therefore, it is difficult to objectively describe the décor, seating arrangements, or overall atmosphere of the restaurant. Typically, Chinese express-style restaurants prioritize efficiency and quick service, often featuring a casual and functional setting suitable for both quick dine-in meals and takeout orders. To gain a better understanding of the environment at New China Express, a personal visit might be necessary.
In terms of services, New China Express likely focuses on providing both dine-in and takeout options, consistent with many restaurants in the Chinese Restaurant category, especially those with "Express" in their name. One positive review highlights the ability to order a "half-and-half" combination of chow mein and rice, suggesting some flexibility in fulfilling customer requests. This, coupled with the mention of ordering orange chicken, indicates that typical Chinese main dishes are available. The quick and positive interaction described in this review also suggests a willingness to accommodate customer orders, even with potential communication barriers.
The food at New China Express has received mixed feedback from customers. One reviewer specifically praised the "crunchy" orange chicken, the "very good" noodles, and the "flavorful" rice. This positive feedback suggests that some of their dishes are well-received and meet customer expectations in terms of taste and texture. The reviewer even gave an "A plus" for the overall experience, indicating a high level of satisfaction.
However, another review presents a significantly contrasting perspective on the food quality. This customer described the "meat quality" as "nasty" and "very low quality," stating that it was "too gross" to eat. They specifically mentioned that the meat was supposed to be chicken but was unidentifiable and inedible. While this reviewer found the noodles and rice to be "fine," they also noted that the egg roll was "not good." This strongly negative feedback raises concerns about the consistency and quality of certain key ingredients and dishes at New China Express.
Features of New China Express, beyond the basic dine-in and takeout services, are not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews. The ability to order combination meals (like the half-and-half chow mein and rice) could be considered a feature that caters to customers wanting variety. However, without more information, it's challenging to identify any unique aspects or specialties of this particular Chinese restaurant compared to others in the area.
There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews for New China Express. Chinese restaurants often offer lunch specials, combination plates, or discounts for certain days or order sizes. Customer Reviews
The orange chicken was so crunchy. I loved it and the noodles tasted very good and the rice had a lot of flavor. I didn’t understand what the Chinese lady said but all I said is I wanted half-and-half and she gave me half chow mein half rice and then I told her what else I wanted which was the orange chicken and she understood so I gave her an A plus
Nasty meat quality. Very low quality. Cannot eat too gross. Noodles and rice are fine. Egg roll not good either. Couldn't eat even 1 piece of that whole pile of whatever meat that is. Supposed to be chicken.
This place is ok but I won't eat here again. The amount of food served is good but quality of food I wasn't impressed. The fried rice was very plain and after eating it I lost my appetite. Orange chicken was good but I've tasted better from other Chinese food around. Customer service was good but lack of quality in there food is what kills it for me. Solid 2 stars for me.
Easily one of the best Chinese Fast Food locations around. The food is flavorful, plentiful, and fresh. If the owner notices the food has been out for a while, she'll have a fresh batch come out to serve you as you order. Very friendly and prices are more than fair. If you're in the mood for Chinese, you won't regret this spot.
Ordered via GrubHub and the food was not good. The chicken fried rice was flavorless and the chicken had a ton of fat that needed to be removed. We could barely eat it. The orange chicken was okay but my daughter bit into a piece that had bone and it hurt her teeth.
