When choosing a Chinese restaurant, local users often consider factors such as the quality and taste of the food, the ambiance of the dining environment (if applicable), the efficiency and friendliness of the service, any unique features or specialties the restaurant might offer, and whether there are any current promotions or deals. To provide an objective introduction to New China Chef, we will analyze the available customer reviews to glean insights into these aspects.
According to recent customer feedback, New China Chef has received positive comments regarding the taste of their food. One reviewer specifically mentioned that the "Food tastes great!" and highlighted the "Lobster sauce shrimp" as being "amazing" when paired with fried rice and an egg roll. This positive feedback suggests that some of the dishes at New China Chef are well-received and flavorful, potentially making them popular choices among patrons.
Another reviewer offered a mixed perspective. They praised the "Crag Rangoons" (likely a misspelling of Crab Rangoon), noting that they have a "nice and crispy shell." This indicates a positive aspect of their appetizer offerings, suggesting attention to texture and preparation. The same reviewer also commented that the food is "very well priced," which could be an attractive factor for budget-conscious diners in the Apex area. However, this reviewer also pointed out a potential issue with the "egg rolls and sweet and sour chicken," stating that they had "a bit of a fishy flavor." The reviewer speculated that this might be due to the timing of their order relative to the restaurant's fry oil change schedule, suggesting it could be an isolated incident related to end-of-weekend cooking practices. This feedback indicates a potential inconsistency or a need for closer attention to oil quality and its impact on the flavor of certain fried items.
Based on these limited reviews, we can infer some aspects of the food quality at New China Chef. The lobster sauce shrimp appears to be a standout dish, receiving high praise for its taste. The Crab Rangoon is also noted for its appealing crispy texture. However, there seems to be a potential issue with some fried items, specifically the egg rolls and sweet and sour chicken, which at least one customer found to have an undesirable "fishy flavor." The reviewer's hypothesis about the fry oil suggests that this might not be a consistent issue, but it is a point worth noting for potential customers.
The provided information does not offer any details about the dining environment or ambiance of New China Chef. Whether it is primarily a takeout-focused establishment or offers a dine-in area is not mentioned in the reviews. Local users seeking a particular dining atmosphere would need to gather additional information, possibly by contacting the restaurant directly or looking for external sources such as online photos or other reviews that might describe the interior and overall feel of the place.
Similarly, the reviews do not provide specific insights into the services offered by New China Chef. We can assume that as a Chinese restaurant, they likely offer takeout services, and the mention of "dine-in" in the general description suggests that they may also have a seating area for customers who wish to eat at the restaurant. However, details about the efficiency of service, the friendliness of the staff, or any additional services like delivery are not available in the provided feedback.
In terms of features, the lobster sauce shrimp could be considered a notable item based on the positive review it received. The "very well priced" food, as mentioned by one reviewer, could also be seen as a feature that attracts customers looking for affordable options. However, without a broader view of the menu and more customer feedback, it is challenging to identify other unique culinary features or specialties of New China Chef.
The provided information does not include any details about current promotions, discounts, or special offers that New China Chef might be running. Local users interested in potential deals or value options would need to inquire directly with the restaurant to learn about any such offerings.
In conclusion, New China Chef in Apex, NC, appears to offer Chinese cuisine with some dishes receiving positive feedback, particularly the lobster sauce shrimp and the Crab Rangoon. The pricing is also noted as being reasonable. However, there is a mention of a potential issue with a fishy flavor in some fried items, which might be related to oil quality. As the provided information lacks details about the restaurant's environment, full range of services, comprehensive list of features, and any promotional activities, local users may need to seek additional information to form a complete picture of what New China Chef offers. The positive comments about the taste of certain dishes suggest a potential for a satisfying meal, while the concern raised about the fried items indicates a need for potential customers to be aware of this feedback.

Food tastes great! Lobster sauce shrimp is amazing with fried rice and egg roll 😋!
Crag Rangoons have a nice and crispy shell. The food is very well priced however the egg rolls and sweet and sour chicken had a bit of a fishy flavor. Perhaps they change their fry oil at the end of the weekend and just unlucky with my timing.
First of all the crab ragoons don’t even taste like crab more like yogurt an a hint of cream cheese or something it’s off bread too wasn’t like sweet like every other raggoon I’ve ever had in 30 years …. The lo mein looks really dark general so was mid the chicken was ok but soft almost gummy or like too soft idk I been to some places in bad places that are dirty dingdey an make some the best food ever im just say I ABSOLUTELY HATE TO SAY THIS about any place but it truly wasn’t good or at least what my expectations are
Some of their food was delicious like the Generals Tso's and Sweet and Sour Chicken. The Beef Ho Fun was all stuck together and the dumplings were extra crispy. The egg rolls and fried rice were good. Would definitely eat here again now knowing what items are good and what items aren't that great.
When I first moved to apex I was happy I had a good Chinese food spot nearby to eat at, But the last 3 times I have gone the food tastes flavorless and as if they’re using the same cooking oil too long…
