New China Carryout

I am in the habit of reviewing everything, and as a reviewer, I make it a point to read reviews for restaurants before I order anything. The reviews I saw were pretty good, with the exception of two. I ordered the sesame chicken with fried rice and the fried wings with fried rice and sweet and sour soup. The food was well seasoned, hot, and better than I expected. However, the fried wings were not what I'm used to...they could learn something from the carryout restaurants in Washington DC where the wings are fried well and are absolutely delicious. The spring roll was one of the best I've had in a while. I will definitely patronize this place in the near future. Just work on those wings...go to DC as a secret shopper and try the wings at virtually every carryout to get an idea of how it's done. The wings caused the loss of one star.

Staff is very rude, They also keep all their packets of soy and duck sauce behind the counter i always order over 30$ of food & you only get one packet of each anything more they charge you for, They have a sign on the door that says they take American express so that was the only card i brought one day, The lady spent 5 mins asking if i had a different card & how the machine dosent take American Express I then told her to cancel my order cause I have no other payment she went and swipe the card and it worked just fine. This place is just full of nonstop BS and like I said they are all very rude and cheap.

I have been coming to New China for over 30 years. It has the best Chinese carry out food in the area. My favorites: Hot and Sour soup, Hunan Chicken, and Mooshi Chicken. I highly recommend this gem of a Chinese carry out!

‼️⚠️WARNING⚠️⛔️ : DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE We found pieces of HAIR in ALL our orders. We called & tried informing the lady that answered but she don't seem to care. Me - “we found hair in our food” Lady - “Theres hair in your food?” “Yes” “go call uber eats” Not even an apology or anything. It wasn't a concern for her. The food is also very mid. If you do order from here, good luck picking out the pieces of hair and risking some unknown disease. To the owner : please fire that cook for the sake of your restaurant.

Good service from the young lady at the counter who recommended the Singapore Noodles. It was really good with just the right amount of spices for me and the ingredients were fresh tasting. I will go back again to try other dishes out.
