New China Cafe

This place exceeded all expectations. We ordered the sweet & sour chicken, sesame chicken, egg drop soup, crispy dumplings, and received free crab cheese wontons for spending $30+. The portions were so large we could have made plates for 6 people. Well worth the money and everything was delicious. This is the best Chinese I've had in Denver!

Best and most reasonably priced Chinese takeout place I’ve tried in Denver so far. No dine-in and it can get cramped inside, but service is fast even when busy, and staff is very friendly. Free appetizer (crab cheese wonton, egg roll or sesame balls) if you spend enough (I just got two dinner entrees). Food hits the spot and portions are large, enough to feed 2-3 people or have plenty of leftovers. Will definitely return!

Been living in Speer for awhile and this was my first time trying New China Cafe. Had the Chicken Drunken Noodles with Broccoli, was pleasantly surprised. Will be coming back again to try more on the menu, but for the price it was worth it. Service was excellent, very kind and accommodating woman working the front. The lunch specials are a deal, you might want to check those out as well.

I'm from NJ, where Chinese food is actually good and came here because of the great reviews and even someone from the east cost saying how this place was good...it absolutely is NOT!!!!!!!! the egg rolls are 100% frozen egg rolls, not made fresh, and are DISGUSTING mush. Lo mein had NO flavor, and is all noodle. General Tso's chicken had NO SAUCE, was so incredibly dry and just...not good. Plus, SO many veggies. $15 per plate, so not worth it. My husband asked if I ordered him the seasme chicken, because there were no seasmes on it and tasted off. Don't waste your money here, and don't believe these reviews from people who clearly have never had decent Chinese food! 100% not worth it. Ps - came on a Saturday during peak hours while they were quite busy, when the food should be the best.

I don't eat out often, but when I do, this is one of my go-to comfort places. I usually order sesame chicken and/or veggie lo mein, both are delicious. The lo mein especially has a lot of flavor and a good balance of veggies. Love their egg drop soup and their spring rolls really hit the spot. Portions are generous and everything is affordable. On top of it, it is run by a lovely local family who are really nice and get food out very quickly. I'll try to branch out and try more things on the menu, but my go-to favs always hit. Love this place.
