About New China Buffett

New China Buffett is a Chinese restaurant located at 2845 Sugar Hill Rd in Marion, North Carolina. As a Chinese restaurant operating as a buffet, New China Buffett offers a self-service dining experience with a variety of Chinese dishes available for customers to choose from. Patrons can contact the restaurant at (828) 559-2555 or +1 828-559-2555 for inquiries.

Based on the limited recent customer reviews available online, experiences at New China Buffett appear to be inconsistent, with contrasting opinions on food quality and service aspects. Potential customers should consider these varying perspectives when deciding whether to dine at this establishment.

One customer expressed several concerns regarding their buffet experience. They noted a "limited quantity on each container" of food available at the buffet line. Furthermore, they stated that the restaurant would not refill these containers until a request was made, implying a potential issue with food availability and requiring customers to actively seek refills. The reviewer also suggested that at some point, customers might become hesitant to continue asking for more food to be replenished. In addition to the availability issue, this customer reported that the "food didn't taste good." They specifically mentioned that the lo mein and fried rice were "literally cold and dry," indicating significant problems with the temperature and quality of these common Chinese dishes. Based on their experience, this customer stated that they "wouldn't recommend" New China Buffett.

In contrast, another customer provided a more positive, albeit brief, review. They mentioned that "the chicken and rice was good" and generally stated that "the food was good." This reviewer also expressed liking the place and indicated that their visit was good. Their comment about going to this restaurant "since we had to eat at home" is somewhat ambiguous but could imply that it's a convenient or preferred option for them when not cooking at home.

The available reviews offer conflicting perspectives on the food quality at New China Buffett. One customer found the food to be cold and dry and generally not good, while another found the chicken and rice to be good and had a positive overall impression. This discrepancy suggests a potential inconsistency in the food quality or that different dishes may vary in their appeal.

Regarding the environment, the reviews do not provide any specific details about the restaurant's ambiance or décor. As a buffet-style restaurant, the layout would likely feature various stations with different food offerings and seating areas for customers. However, without direct comments on the cleanliness, atmosphere, or overall appearance of the dining space, it is not possible to provide a description.

The primary service offered by New China Buffett, as indicated by its name and the reviews, is a buffet where customers serve themselves from a selection of prepared dishes. One review mentioned the policy of limited quantities and the need to request refills, which could be considered a specific aspect of their service model. However, there is no information about other services such as table service for drinks, assistance with dietary restrictions, or the attentiveness of the staff beyond the refilling of buffet items upon request.

Information about any unique features of New China Buffett is also limited. The fact that it operates as a buffet is a key characteristic, allowing customers to sample a variety of dishes at a fixed price. However, the reviews do not highlight any specific culinary specialties, unique preparation methods, or particular types of Chinese cuisine that might set it apart. Similarly, there is no information provided about any current promotional offers, discounts, or special deals that the restaurant might be advertising to attract customers.

In conclusion, the recent customer feedback for New China Buffett in Marion, NC, presents a mixed and somewhat concerning picture. One customer reported issues with limited food availability on the buffet, the need to request refills, and poor food quality (cold and dry lo mein and fried rice), leading to a negative recommendation. In contrast, another customer found the chicken and rice to be good and had a positive overall experience. This significant difference in opinions suggests potential inconsistencies in the dining experience. The reviews do not provide information about the restaurant's environment, unique features, or any promotional offers. For local users considering New China Buffett, it would be prudent to weigh these conflicting experiences and potentially consider the timing of their visit, as buffet quality can sometimes vary depending on how recently dishes have been prepared and replenished.

As a Chinese buffet restaurant in Marion, New China Buffett offers a self-serve dining option. However, the feedback regarding food quality and availability on the buffet line raises concerns that potential customers should be aware of when making their decision.

First off, we've never been here before and was headed to a different place before my boyfriend said oh let's go there!" I love Chinese food, so I was ecstatic! We walked in and the lady rang us up, we went to get our food she asked us what we wanted to drink (I assumed i did this myself since it was next to the food) We told her our drinks and we continued to get our food. My boyfriend went to sit down she yelled at him from across the room said No No here. He got up and came over there. (I don't like sitting on top of people, so he was going where there were only a few people, not 10.) So we sat down i started eating and immediately stopped. I cut open one of the pieces of chicken, and it was not done. It was still pink. I tried the rice, which they only had fried, I prefer steamed rice, and they didn't have any; it was hard. My boyfriend was starving, and he ate 2 bites and was done. It just wasn't good. There were very few items on the buffet. It's just something we will not go back to. This is just my/ our opinion. I wish them the best, but won't get anymore of my money.

There isn’t much to choose from on the buffet. But what really was bad was how the woman hovers and watches everything everyone is doing. We asked for another set of chopsticks when I dropped mine and was told no that she had already gave us a set, we couldn’t have more. Terrible place. We will. It be going back ever .
