About New Canton Chinese Restaurant

Welcome to New Canton Chinese Restaurant, a local establishment in the Chinese Restaurant category located at 5238 Blue Ridge Blvd in Raytown, Missouri. Based on recent customer feedback, New Canton Chinese Restaurant appears to have a focus on preparing meals fresh to order, which is appreciated by some patrons. However, reviews also indicate a potential inconsistency in food quality and customer service, suggesting a mixed experience for local users considering this dining option.

One customer shared a highly negative experience, citing "terrible customer service" and dissatisfaction with the food. Specifically, they described the hot and sour soup as "very tasteless" and "very thick," with "very over cooked" crunchy noodles. When this customer contacted the restaurant to provide feedback on their meal, they expressed that they had enjoyed more flavorful hot and sour soup and properly cooked noodles at another Chinese restaurant. The response from the staff was described as dismissive, allegedly suggesting that the customer should patronize the other restaurant if they preferred it, without any offer to improve their experience. This interaction left the customer feeling that the restaurant did not care about customer satisfaction or take pride in their food preparation, leading to a strong recommendation against New Canton Chinese Restaurant.

Conversely, another customer provided a more positive perspective, highlighting that "everything is cooked fresh to order." This suggests a commitment to using fresh ingredients and preparing meals individually upon request. While this approach may result in a longer wait time, as acknowledged by the reviewer ("Yes you have to wait awhile"), the outcome is described as food that is "always hot and fresh," which is a significant advantage for those who value freshly prepared meals.

This second reviewer also shared their opinion on a specific appetizer, the crab rangoon, stating that they were "not my favorite here but they are still ok." This indicates that while some dishes might be satisfactory, they may not all be exceptional. On a more positive note, they found the chicken dishes to be "tender and full of flavor," suggesting that the quality of the main ingredients and their seasoning is a strength of the restaurant. The reviewer also advised customers who prefer more sauce to request extra, implying that sauce portions might be moderate by default.

Based on these two reviews, New Canton Chinese Restaurant presents a dichotomy of experiences. On one hand, the emphasis on cooking fresh to order is a notable feature that can lead to hot and flavorful dishes, particularly the chicken. On the other hand, there are concerns about the taste and texture of certain items, such as the hot and sour soup and crunchy noodles, as well as potentially poor customer service in addressing complaints.

The reviews do not provide specific details about the restaurant's environment or ambiance. As a local Chinese restaurant, it likely offers a casual dining space for customers who choose to eat on-site. However, without further information, it is difficult to describe the decor, cleanliness, or overall atmosphere. Local users interested in dining in may want to inquire directly with the restaurant about their seating arrangements and environment.

In terms of services, New Canton Chinese Restaurant appears to offer both takeout and potentially dine-in options. The negative review implies that takeout orders are available, and the positive review mentions dining, suggesting that they cater to both preferences. The phone number provided, (816) 859-5238 or +1 816-859-5238, can be used to place takeout orders or to inquire about reservations or dining availability.

A key feature of New Canton Chinese Restaurant, as highlighted by one reviewer, is their practice of cooking everything fresh to order. This can be a significant draw for customers who prioritize the freshness and quality of their food over speed of service. The flavorful chicken dishes also stand out as a positive aspect mentioned in the reviews. However, the inconsistent quality of other dishes, such as the hot and sour soup, and the reported poor customer service are important factors for potential customers to consider.

Currently, there is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Local users interested in any special offers or promotions at New Canton Chinese Restaurant are advised to contact the restaurant directly. Given the mixed feedback, it might be prudent to inquire about the preparation of specific dishes or any guarantees of customer satisfaction when placing an order.

Located at 5238 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64133, USA, New Canton Chinese Restaurant is situated in Raytown, making it accessible to residents in that area. The contrasting reviews suggest that experiences may vary, and local users might want to weigh the emphasis on fresh cooking against the reported issues with certain dishes and customer service when making their decision.

In conclusion, New Canton Chinese Restaurant in Raytown, MO, offers the feature of freshly cooked meals, with some customers praising the hot and flavorful chicken. However, there are also reports of tasteless and poorly prepared dishes like the hot and sour soup, as well as concerns about the level of customer service. Local users who prioritize freshly made food and are willing to potentially wait longer for their orders may find some dishes at New Canton to their liking. However, they should also be aware of the reported inconsistencies and the potential for negative customer service experiences. For the most up-to-date information on their menu, services, and any promotions, contacting the restaurant directly is recommended.

Terrible customer service. The hot and sour soup was very tasteless very thick and the crunchy noodles very over cooked. When I called the restaurant to Express my feedback on my food experience I expressed that I ordered hot and sour soup at another Chinese restaurant that was flavourful and that the crunchy noodles were cooked properly. Not overcooked. The staff said to me if I like the other restaurant than it's ok with them to go to the other restaurant. Just terrible there was no mention to make my experience better. I would NOT recommend this restaurant they don't care about the customer no pride in the meal preparation and just terrible terrible customer service. WOW I'm so disappointed 😞

Everything is cooked fresh to order. Yes you have to wait awhile but it's always hot and fresh. The crab Rangoon aren't my favorite here but they are still ok. The chicken is tender and full of flavor. If you like sauce better ask for extra.

I just finished my first meal from this establishment, and everything was excellent! The egg drop soup was hot with lots of egg white, the sauce on the chicken broccoli was delicious, and the spring rolls were phenomenal. I'll definitely be a repeat customer.

It was okay. Chicken lo mein was bland. Consisted of lightly breaded rubbery chicken and salty noodles. The fried pot stickers were not crispy at all and had very little flavor. Would not recommend
