According to loyal patrons, Nanjing Duck House offers the most authentic Nanjing Salty Duck in the area. The restaurant's original owner was from Nanjing and brought with them a recipe originating from one of the most famous duck restaurants in that region of China. This heritage underscores the commitment to providing a genuine culinary experience rooted in the traditions of Nanjing. While the restaurant initially offered dine-in service, customer reviews indicate that, following the Covid-19 pandemic, Nanjing Duck House currently operates primarily as a take-out establishment.

Despite the change in service model, long-time customers have expressed satisfaction that the quality of the Nanjing Salty Duck has remained consistently high even after a change in ownership. This speaks volumes about the dedication of the new owner to maintaining the authenticity and standards set by the original recipe and preparation methods. It assures customers that the same delicious and genuine Nanjing Salty Duck they have come to expect is still available.

One of the distinguishing features of the duck offered at Nanjing Duck House is the quality of the meat itself. The restaurant sources its ducks from a different state, resulting in a product that is described as less fatty and more tender. This attention to the quality of the raw ingredients is crucial in delivering a superior final product. Furthermore, the cutting technique employed at Nanjing Duck House is meticulous and adheres to the traditional method. Each piece of duck is thinly and neatly sliced, enhancing both the presentation and the eating experience.

Adding to the authenticity, one reviewer noted that the restaurant is currently run by a lady who is genuinely from Nanjing, as evidenced by her way of speaking Chinese. This personal connection to the region further reinforces the authenticity of the cuisine and the pride the owner takes in her signature dish, the salted duck. The reviewer's comment about the owner having a lot of pride in her duck recipe suggests a deep commitment to quality and tradition.

While the reviews focus primarily on the exceptional Nanjing Salty Duck and the authenticity of the restaurant, they provide limited information about the environment or other services offered. There is no mention of other dishes on the menu, any catering services, or any promotional offers. The primary focus is clearly on the quality and authenticity of their salted duck.

The most authentic Nanjing Salty Duck, I have bought from this restaurant for years! The old owner was from Nanjing and the recipe was from the most famous duck restaurant in that region, but sadly after Covid they only provided take out service, it still the same quality even after the new owner took over the store! Their duck were purchased from different state, less fat and more tender meet, and the cutting skill kept the way it should be, each piece is thinner and neat!

This restaurant is not big, but the food is so tasty. The most popular item is salted duck. Lots of the customer call in to order first, because the salty duck always sold out before 6pm.

I had a very unpleasant experience at this store recently. A staff member aggressively insisted that I buy a dozen mooncakes, claiming she was guaranteed to taste great. I originally only wanted to buy 3-6, but she kept pushing me to buy a full dozen, despite my clear hesitation. It was uncomfortable and frustrating. To make matters worse, when I finally tried the mooncakes, they tasted more like meat buns with a strange, soggy texture—definitely not what I was expecting or wanted. I found the whole experience not only disappointing but also mentally exhausting. I have no intention of ever returning to this store, nor do I wish to engage with such pushy sales tactics again. It was truly an awful experience.

The food was not that great. We got duck and rice dish, and we got 3 parts of rice 4 slices of duck and a few pieces of Chinese broccoli , too much rice, I consider it a waste, too much rice only to make the dish look bigger. Not good
