About Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao-Manhattan

Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao-Manhattan is an Asian restaurant located at 24 W 33rd St, New York, NY 10001, USA. They can be contacted at (212) 970-3888 or their mobile number +1 212-970-3888.

As an Asian restaurant in Midtown Manhattan, Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao is particularly known for its soup dumplings (xiao long bao). According to one customer, the food, especially the udon and the Lucky Six Soup Dumplings, is worth the wait and travel. The Lucky Six option is highlighted as a good way to sample different flavors of soup dumplings. The staff is described as kind, even when managing table turnover during busy periods.

However, another reviewer found the Manhattan location to be inferior in food quality compared to the same restaurant in the East Village. Criticisms include the noodle texture and flavor, the separate serving of fried pork chop from the noodle, and the quality of the buns being comparable to pre-packaged grocery store options. The beef pancake was noted as being of okayish quality.

For local users in New York City, particularly in the Midtown area, Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao-Manhattan offers a convenient location to grab a quick meal. If you are interested in trying their soup dumplings, especially the variety offered in the Lucky Six, it might be a worthwhile visit. However, it's important to be aware of the mixed reviews regarding the overall food quality, particularly concerning the noodle dishes and buns. The restaurant appears to be a place for a quick bite rather than a destination for a leisurely and high-quality dining experience for some customers.

Currently, no specific promotional information is available in the provided reviews. For any potential special offers or promotions, it is recommended to contact Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao-Manhattan directly at (212) 970-3888 or visit their location at 24 W 33rd St, New York, NY 10001, USA.

The food here is entirely worth the wait and trip if you’re not super close. The udon and Lucky six Soup Dumplings options were my favorite. The Lucky Six is an especially good deal to try out different flavors without having to get a whole set of each one. Staff was kind even when they let us know we had to give up the table (the place was getting busier since we arrived and my friend and I somewhat overstayed our welcome. I understood and brought the leftovers with me). Would love to pass by again for another meal

Compared to the same restaurant in the east village, this one is inferior in terms of the food quality. The noodle is far from what it should be. I never saw a fried pork chop being served separately from the noodle. Moreover, the noodle has no flavor at all and salt is barely added. The buns are on the same level of those prepackaged and sold in the grocery store. The only one of okayish quality is the beef pancake. It's a place to grab something quickly in midtown but definitely not a place to enjoy food.

Easily some of the best soup dumplings I have ever had! The soup broth is flavored perfectly and delicious. The buns themselves are filled with flavor, and the pork is cooked very well. The other dishes were OK but the real highlights were the buns. Highly recommend!

Yay, I love that they opened this location! No need to go out to flushing anymore. Authentic Shanghai cuisine and world known XLBs, so juicy and a large variety of them. We also loved the beef udon noodles and scallion pancake. Spacious inside, very clean, and very attentive staff. Can't wait to go back!

everything was good but the sweet sticky rice (i won’t advise getting that) it’s was just sticky rice with literal sugar in it and a crispy oily filling but it didn’t taste good. the rest of the food and dumplings were good! the scallion pancakes were a bit greasy and salty. good service and atmosphere
