Nai brother LiC Intro

Nai brother LiC is a Chinese restaurant located at 27-17 42nd Rd, Long Island City, NY 11101, USA. They specialize in Chinese cuisine, with a focus on dishes like sauerkraut fish.

You can contact them at (516) 744-6828 or +1 516-744-6828.

Customer reviews present a mixed view of the restaurant. Many customers highly praise the sauerkraut fish, describing it as a "rare and hidden gem" and a "healthy and balanced meal." They note the large portion sizes, the option to add ingredients like glass noodles and beef slices, and the overall quality of the dish. Some find the spice level enjoyable and reminiscent of home cooking.

The atmosphere is generally well-regarded, with ample seating, natural sunlight, and tables spaced comfortably apart. A unique feature is the use of robots to deliver food to tables, which some customers find entertaining.

However, other customers have expressed less enthusiasm. Some find the food "okay" but not exceptional, comparing it to home-cooked meals. They consider the robot delivery more of a novelty than a practical tool, especially since tipping is still expected. Additionally, some customers feel the fish quality is comparable to frozen fish, lacking the taste of fresh fish, and that larger portions do not make up for less handcrafted meals.

In summary, Nai brother LiC is known for its large portions of sauerkraut fish and its robot delivery service. While many customers appreciate the food and atmosphere, others find the food quality average and the robot delivery a gimmick. Potential customers should weigh these differing opinions before dining at Nai brother LiC.

Food 10/10 Probably one of the few restaurants that I frequent often and have ordered from multiple times, so definitely a rare and hidden gem. Every time, we order the classic sauerkraut fish, and can I just say that both small and large sizes are massive and will fill you right up. I always add in the glass noodles for that extra chew, and some beef slices to round out the fish. The bowl literally has every ingredient you need for a balanced meal, and even though it can be spicy, I fully view this as a healthy and balanced meal that is reminiscent of home. Atmosphere 9/10 Plenty of seating inside, and the coolest part is they have these robots that will bring the bowls out to you. There’s a lot of natural sunlight, and the tables aren’t situated too close to each other. Service 9/10 Good service, efficient, and I like the way their menu is set up.

Food's okay, I'm probably lucky enough to have Asian family who does exactly the same at home. I was not amazed, it's pretty basic. The food coming with a robot is more a joke than a practical tool, they still ask for tips ! Portions are huge, maybe it is a sign too, I would prefer smaller portions but with more handcraft. I'm disappointed, the fish is like the classic frozen, it tasted okay but nothing can beat fresh fish

My recent visit left me with a smile. This place is so cozy, the mix of comfy vibes and cool decor sets the scene for a good time. The sauerkraut fish is the hero of the menu, but the quick service made the whole experience even better, especially that robot, it's so cute.

Never gonna be there again. Went there twice, the first time we ordered a fish, it was ok but definitely not as good as the other fish restaurants. Second time we ordered the lamb loin chop, which is the worst I’ve ever had. The lamb is not cooked long enough so it’s really hard to bite. I’ve been to other places for this same dish, it should be well cooked and the meat should be separated from the bone very easily. Never gonna come to this restaurant again.

I liked the Golden Pickle Sauerkraut Fish soup! It had an amazing flavor, loaded with veggies and tofu. While I didn't have too much of the soup due to its slight greasiness, the overall experience was fantastic. The food was delicious, the service was quick, and the setup was clean. A good place for quick meals
