Muscoot Tavern

How many times can you visit a tavern (in the US) that is 100 years old? (If you're over 6', mind your head entering.) This building hasn't changed much. Inside, you will get what you expect from an old farm building. Quite a diverse crowd inside, friendly, and attentive staff. Food is what you would expect from tavern.

Great place for drinks, no food. You can order food to be delivered, though. The bartender was nice and efficient, but alone. I'm impressed with how well she managed.

Went for pizza on Friday night, but they were not making any, maybe oven issues. Got burgers, wings, calamari and some other stuff. Lots more fried hot peppers in the calamari than normal. Burger was very good. Best to go when it is not crowded. Stop calculating tip on tax on your bills. TAX is not a service. Otherwise good.

First time there. You know the place is good when people are waiting in the parking lot for them to open at noon. I had the best burger I've had in a long time. Perfectly medium rare, and really juicy, on a brioche bun. My companion had the pepperoni pizza. It was easily big enough for 2 or 3 people.

Average establishment, but very friendly staff. I ordered 2 pizzas, wings, and dumplings. We spoke about the sauces for the dumplings for a while so Im surprised I still never received them. He even confirmed with me that I wanted both appetizers and I said yes. I don’t like having to repeat myself, especially when we confirmed twice. Food is good, I’d only comeback if I can get everything I ask for next time.
