About Mr. Wong

Craving authentic Chinese cuisine in Phoenix? Look no further than Mr. Wong, a Chinese restaurant located at 10627 N 19th Ave. Please note that Mr. Wong operates as a takeout-only establishment, perfect for enjoying a delicious meal in the comfort of your own home.

Based on customer feedback, Mr. Wong is known for its generous portion sizes, offering great value for your money. Many reviewers have praised the flavorful entrees, with particular enthusiasm for the Teriyaki Chicken and Broccoli Chicken. If you're looking for a satisfying meal, consider their combo options, which include your choice of two entrees, egg drop soup, a spring roll, and fried rice – a single combo is often enough to feed one person generously.

While some found the rice to be average, the overall freshness of the food was a highlight for many. The egg drop soup, despite its simple appearance, was noted for its excellent seasoning. Customers also enjoyed the fried rice, while opinions on the spring rolls were more neutral, and the crab wontons were described as quite sweet.

The service at Mr. Wong has been commended for its friendliness and efficiency. One reviewer specifically mentioned the helpfulness of the staff member at the front, who allowed them to browse the menu without pressure and honored a coupon. The food preparation is also quick, with orders typically ready in around 15 minutes. For those waiting for their takeout orders, chairs are available.

Keep in mind that Mr. Wong currently offers only canned sodas for beverages, so you may want to plan accordingly if you prefer other drinks like water. Also, those who enjoy spicy food might be disappointed as the chili oil was reported to be mild, and there doesn't seem to be a spicy sauce available on the side.

In summary, Mr. Wong offers a convenient takeout experience with generous portions of flavorful Chinese dishes. The Teriyaki Chicken and Broccoli Chicken come highly recommended, and the combo meals provide excellent value. With friendly service and quick preparation times, Mr. Wong is a solid choice for your next Chinese takeout in Phoenix. You can place your order by calling (602) 331-1018 or +1 602-331-1018.

Generous portions. Good flavor on the entrees, but rice wasn’t the best. We really enjoy the chicken wings.

Service was great! Lady in the front didn’t pressure us to order but instead gave us a menu to browse and was super friendly. She honored the coupon on the menus, too! Food only took about 15 mins to be ready. There are chairs for you to wait. Takeout only!! My husband and I ordered combos and crab wontons. The combos come with your choice of 2 entrees, egg drop soup, spring roll, AND fried rice. 1 combo is more than enough for 1 person and honestly, I only ate about half. From our entrees, we HIGHLY recommend the teriyaki chicken and broccoli chicken. We also had the orange chicken and sesame chicken which were good, but wouldn’t recommend unless you really want that. Fried was really good! Soup looked plain but it was surprisingly very well seasoned. Spring rolls were okay and crab wontons were super sweet. Chili oil wasn’t spicy at all. Wish they had a spicy sauce on the side. They only have canned sodas to drink, so we had to drive elsewhere to get water. Food overall was fresh. Overall would rate 7.5/10!!

These guys don't play around. Had the orange chicken which was breaded perfectly like sweet n sour pork. The sauce was literally like natural orange and not tangy or overpowering. The low mein tasted great and the rice was soft. Also tried the Teriyaki chicken and that was seasoned perfectly and fresh and the beef n broccoli was good. Not to much ginger or sauce and the broccoli was cooked just right. This reminded me of all the restaurants from the 90's. I've ate at Silver Dragon, Chili King, China Way, Autumn Court, Shangri-la, Little Asia Cusine, Nora Fresh, Chen Wok and all those little places along Camelback passing 19th Ave, but this place is fantastic!

Take out only, no dine-in. You are not be able to pay with Apple Pay and approve payment by Facial recognition because the credit card machine is in the counter. The food is good and price is cheap. The chicken is cooked very well and tender that it doesn’t taste too dried. Well, it’s a good place for take out Chinese food.

I can’t say it was great and can’t say it was that bad either. The orange chicken was really good. The fried rice had zero flavor it just tasted like rice with soy sauce. I don’t think I’d go back but to each their own. They’re most definitely fresh and hot but the flavors weren’t there for me BUT their giving big portions though!!
