About mr.rice

mr.rice is a Chinese Restaurant located at 1413 W Erie Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19140, USA. They can be contacted at (215) 221-6490 or +1 215-221-6490.

As a local Chinese Restaurant, mr.rice has received extremely negative feedback in recent customer reviews, raising serious concerns about food safety and quality.

One customer recounted a frightening experience while eating beef lo mein, stating they began choking on a piece of metal bristle found in their food. This incident caused them to gag repeatedly and ultimately vomit, which was particularly distressing as they were three months pregnant. They expressed concern about the restaurant's dishwashing practices and strongly advised others not to order from mr.rice due to this safety hazard.

Another customer described their order of shrimp and broccoli with garlic sauce as being one of the "worst Chinese food" experiences of their life. They reported a lack of sauce, nasty and flavorless shrimp, and a shrimp roll that contained "literally NO SHRIMP." Additionally, they found the homemade fruit punch to be excessively watered down. This customer, who was eight months pregnant and seeking a quick meal, expressed extreme dissatisfaction and vowed never to order from mr.rice again, regretting not ordering from their usual preferred restaurant.

Based on these recent and alarming customer reviews, local users should be extremely cautious and aware of the significant concerns regarding food safety and quality at mr.rice.

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. I was eating my beef lo mein, actually enjoying it when suddenly I start CHOKING ON A PIECE OF METAL!!! There was some sort of metal bristle in my food and I had to gag over and over to get it out. I’m 3 months pregnant so having to gag like that made me full on throw up. I don’t know if they use a metal brush or Steele wool to clean their dishes but they need to get it tf together. I have a sore throat and queasy stomach after all this. DONT BUT FROM HERE!!!

They have some of the worst Chinese food i have ever taste in my life. I ordered shrimp and broccoli with garlic sauce. There wasn’t barely any sauce at all. The shrimp were big and they also were nasty, the food didn't have no type of flavor to it. It was very bland. I also got a shrimp roll with literally NO SHRIMP in my shrimp roll no one single shrimp at all. And that literally taste like NOTHING. Then i got a home made fruit punch that taste so water down it taste like i was drinking water with a drop of flavor in it. Everything was nasty i usually order from rising sun Chinese store on Wyoming ave they are the best but it was late and they weren’t open. The only reason i ordered here because i am 8 months pregnant and i wanted something quick and fast. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN WORST CHINESE FOOD EVER. Tried eating the whole thing but just couldn't so i forced myself to eat whatever i could

I didn't realize they put shrimp and everything. You don't order chicken fried rice expecting to get shrimp. I am deathly allergic to shellfish and had to throw out the whole order.

Warning- worst food i’ve ever ordered! Placed an order through caviar app- worst decision ever. This was the worst food i’ve ever had delivered. Nothing was edible and this place cannot have return customers. Chicken wings were either cooked another day and reheated or this place has old nasty grease they fry with. The shrimp yat came frozen, lumpy, and salty. Another item I could not eat. My husband got a pizza roll cooked in old grease and beef lomein that was a solid 3 out of 10. If this is the food they serve day in and day out this place should get shut down.

If I can give “0” I wish, so can we start off when I called back to add to my order. The young lady said that she will. When my food got here the food was cold, burned and hard!!!! I ordered 5 wings and a shrimp roll. The roll was old when I bite into it the cabbage was old and it had a bad smell. Don’t waste your money !!!
