About Mr. Orange Chicken
Mr. Orange Chicken is a Chinese restaurant located at 12853 S Ashland Ave, Calumet Park, IL 60827, USA. They can be contacted at (708) 293-1988 or +1 708-293-1988.
As a local Chinese restaurant, Mr. Orange Chicken appears to be a spot that aims to serve delicious Chinese cuisine, with their signature dish being the Orange Chicken. According to one review, the Orange Chicken is "crispy, juicy, and the sauce is just the right mix of sweet and tangy." The restaurant is described as a "cozy spot" with a "great vibe" that blends traditional and modern elements. The staff are also noted to be "super welcoming." Beyond their signature dish, Mr. Orange Chicken offers other comforting options such as Beef Noodle Soup and Dumplings.
However, another customer had a mixed experience with different dishes. They ordered Shrimp Lo Mein, large vegetable fried rice, and an egg roll. While they enjoyed the rice and egg roll, they found the shrimp in the lo mein to have a "strong" taste, suggesting it might not have been very fresh, and also noted that the dish had "a bit too much soy sauce" for their preference.
In summary, Mr. Orange Chicken seems to be a restaurant particularly known for its Orange Chicken and a pleasant atmosphere with welcoming staff. While one customer highly recommended it for a variety of Chinese food, another had a less favorable experience with the Shrimp Lo Mein, citing issues with the freshness of the shrimp and the amount of soy sauce. Local users looking for Chinese cuisine, especially Orange Chicken, might find Mr. Orange Chicken worth a visit, while being mindful of the varied experiences reported.

Mr. Orange Chicken is a cozy spot that really knows how to serve up some delicious Chinese cuisine, especially their signature Orange Chicken. It’s crispy, juicy, and the sauce is just the right mix of sweet and tangy. The place has a great vibe, blending traditional and modern elements, and the staff are super welcoming. Whether you’re craving some comforting Beef Noodle Soup or those perfectly made Dumplings, this place has got you covered. It’s definitely worth a visit for anyone looking to explore or indulge in some fantastic Chinese food.
Shrimp Lo Mein, large vegetable fried rice, egg roll. The shrimp was a bit strong which means they weren't fresh. It also had a bit too much soy sauce for me. I enjoyed the rice and egg roll.
This place NEVER disappoints! It's ALWAYS very fresh and that's a must! I get the Orange chicken of course and their Crab Rangoon is made sweet not savory like most places with too much onion in them. It's a go to for sure.
Went there and picked up my beef and broccoli with lomein noodles. Started eating and feeding my grandson and bit into the beef and felt a hair in my mouth, I pulled it out, spit out the food and immediately called the restaurant. The rude lady on the phone said I would have to bring it back so she can determine if it was mine or theirs and told me that everyone ties their hair up and that at the most, they would make my food over but that a refund was not an option as if I was still hungry after that. I have very short hair btw.
I ordered 2 dinners, chicken and broccoli and sweet and sour chicken. I ordered delivery and my total was $30.91. When my husband and I went to devour our food it was terrible. The shrimp fried rice was so hard and my sweet and sour chicken was raw and super doughy. My husband immediately called them and they stated we wouldn't get our money back or anything and the man was super rude. My husband went to the restaurant for fresher food and we were given the saltiest nastiest rice ever. They didn't even replace our whole order. They gave us ice cold crab Rangoon. I feel as though our food was overly salted as retaliation for returning the inedible food. I will never, I repeat never eat here ever again. This place has definitely gone down hill. I'd give 0 stars if I could.
