About Mr. Hibachi

Welcome to Mr. Hibachi, a restaurant located at 31 Edgewood Ave NE, Atlanta, GA, USA. You can contact them at (404) 223-3647 or mobile +1 404-223-3647.

While categorized as a Chinese Restaurant, Mr. Hibachi seems to specialize in hibachi-style cuisine. Customer reviews present contrasting experiences. One customer found the food to be absolutely delicious and highly recommended the teriyaki chicken.

However, another customer expressed significant dissatisfaction, stating it was the worst hibachi they had ever had. A primary complaint was that rice was not automatically included with the hibachi order but required selecting as one of two sides. This customer felt that rice is a standard expectation with hibachi and was left with only meat, flavorless egg rolls, and shrimp tempura for their meal. They strongly recommended going elsewhere for hibachi and would have given zero stars if possible, advising potential buyers to beware.

Based on these reviews, Mr. Hibachi offers a teriyaki chicken dish that is well-received. However, their approach to hibachi, particularly the separate ordering of rice, has been a major point of contention for at least one customer. If you are considering Mr. Hibachi for hibachi, it is advisable to be aware that rice may not be included and to confirm what comes with your order. For those interested in teriyaki chicken, it seems to be a recommended option.

This is the worst hibachi I have ever gotten in my life. How is it hibachi and it doesn't automatically come with rice. But, tells you too to choose two side this is just beyond ridiculous. Anyone who is ordering hibachi would assume it comes with rice automatically. Am I wrong ?? So I am at work for the next 5 hour with just meat and flavorless egg rolls and shrimp tempura. I would highly recommend going else where for hibachi. I would honestly give zero stars if I could. Buyers beware

Lacks flavor. Rice is overcooked. Vegetables are mush with no seasoning at all, no even salt. Vegetables are also 80% white onion that is also overcooked and somehow make the flavor of the vegetables worse. Teriyaki chicken lacks sauce. They charge for extra sauce because they know you’ll need it. Slow service.

I’m on a mission to try all the local food places around the GSU campus and Mr. Hibachi is the latest stop on my adventures. The restaurant itself is a tightly set up space with bar style tables and chairs so there’s pretty much no chance to eat without having to sit near strangers. I saw another review say they immediately saw cockroaches when they opened the door but thankfully I didn’t see any pests on my visit. The food itself was indeed hibachi style food with choices of chicken, beef, or shrimp for most of the entrées and a small selection of side dishes. I ordered the Steak Hibachi with a side of fried shrimp and it was pretty good. I instantly knew what I was eating was hibachi but there wasn’t any sort of unique flavouring. It was just steak and steamed rice. Not bad but not Earth shatteringly good either. The staff are friendly though I think there might be a few communication issues here and there, I heard another person order something and they had to repeat it a few times because the cashier didn’t fully understand what they were saying. Overall I’d give Mr. Hibachi a solid 8/10, I’d definitely come back if I wanted to eat something with rice on campus.
