About MR CHOW
MR CHOW is a Chinese restaurant located at 3570 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109. Reservations can be made by calling (702) 731-7888 or +1 702-731-7888. While it may have a strong reputation, recent customer experiences suggest some inconsistencies, particularly regarding the food.
Several reviewers have highlighted the restaurant's positive aspects, including its ambiance, such as a moving sculpture and plush carpet, and the friendliness and attentiveness of the wait staff. One reviewer also specifically praised a French chef who created a wonderful dessert. The old-fashioned drinks were also noted as good.
However, significant concerns have been raised about the quality of the food, especially in relation to the high price point. One reviewer stated that the noodles were bland and compared the pork sauce to "dog food," suggesting the vegetable sauce might be a better option. Another reviewer felt that even the glaze prawns, described as the best dish ordered, lacked flavor despite a good sauce. One particularly critical review went as far as to say that canned pasta would be more enjoyable than the noodles and expressed disappointment with a Valentine's Day menu, citing a very high cost of $550 for two people.
While the green beans and a homemade hot chili sauce received positive mentions, the overall sentiment in these recent reviews leans towards disappointment with the food not meeting expectations, especially given the restaurant's reputation and pricing. Potential diners might want to weigh the reported strengths in ambiance and service against the significant concerns about the flavor and quality of the dishes.

Pop open a can of Chef Boyardee & you will enjoy it more than the noodles at Mr.Chow. Obviously, the chef is either lost his tastebuds or just does not care anymore. We were staying at Caesar’s Palace and remembered very last minute that Valentine’s Day meant we needed to get reservations after looking at everything else in the hotel. Mr. Chow actually had reservations at 8:30, perfect! Valentine’s Day menu, sign me up! This was a very disappointing meal. The only nice thing about the whole experience was the moving sculpture and the wonderful wait staff & the French Chef that created a wonderful dessert. $550 for two people?! Wild!
We were so excited to try this place because of the reputation, but it was beyond disappointing. The best thing about it is the ambience, the super plush carpet, and the very friendly wait staff. The glaze prawns were the best thing that we ordered and even they lacked flavor. While the sauce they cover it with was good, there was still very little seasoning. I’m not sure why the noodles are recommended. They are very bland with absolutely no flavor. The pork sauce on top is more like dog food . Maybe the vegetable sauce would have been better. The green beans were a good choice. There is also a homemade hot chili sauce that was good. The old-fashioned drinks were also very good. However, I would not recommend this place, especially for the price point.
This was the worst meal I’ve had at a restaurant in the last 10 years… literally. So disappointing. The food is awful. We got the noodles and they tasted like 2 minute noodles with no flavouring at all. The pork mince on it was dry and had an unpleasant flavour. The seabass was mushy and inedible. The duck skin wasn’t crispy and was sickly oily. The fried rice didn’t look like pictures on the website. The crispy beef tasted like it was all batter with no meat, and it was covered in a syrupy red sauce that looked radioactive. The decor of the restaurant was pretty average. The servers were nice, but I thought they were in a hypnotic trance, how could anyone not realise how bad the food is?? And to top it all off, the prices are outrageously expensive. Genuinely extortionate. I left feeling scammed. The only positive thing to say was that the cocktails were great.
Food was good, with great elements. Cocktails were wonderful! Portions are enormous, and it was really unfortunate that waiter didn’t advise of that. 2 course Mr Chow dinner is way too much for 2 healthy eaters. We would have enjoin so much more if understood the portions. Dining room is surprising and whimsical.
We have gone to Mr Chow in London for years and this was a huge disappointment. The food was good, but what we look forward to the most is the duck. Being so full, we ordered takeaway and the result was about 3 pancakes worth of meat with the rest being fat, tough meat and bone- simply inedible. To pay for this is an abomination. Not sure if that this was done to us since they could rid themselves of an inadequate duck but it will certainly ensure we never return.
