About Mr. Chan's Chinese Cuisine
Mr. Chan's Chinese Cuisine is a Chinese restaurant located at 3021 Stratton St in Flushing, New York. Situated within a community known for its diverse range of Chinese culinary options, Mr. Chan's aims to provide local users with a variety of Chinese dishes. The restaurant can be contacted at (718) 886-5666 or via mobile at +1 718-886-5666 for inquiries or orders.
Based on the limited recent customer feedback available, there appears to be a notable shift in the perceived quality and value offered by Mr. Chan's Chinese Cuisine compared to past experiences. One reviewer, who mentioned previously being a loyal customer along with their coworkers, specifically recalled the shrimp egg rolls as a standout and popular item. This suggests that at one point, Mr. Chan's had established a reputation for certain well-received dishes.
However, the recent experiences shared in the reviews paint a less favorable picture. One customer who visited on a Wednesday noted that the restaurant was "completely empty," which they interpreted as a negative sign. This observation regarding the lack of customers could be indicative of a decline in popularity or satisfaction among local diners.
The same reviewer proceeded to order shrimp fried rice and broccoli. While they acknowledged that the portions were generous ("big"), they expressed significant dissatisfaction with the flavor of the food, stating that it "lack flavor." Furthermore, they described the texture of the rice as "gritty," which is a considerable negative in a staple dish like fried rice. The presence of "2 jumbo shrimps" in the shrimp fried rice was also noted as unusual and out of place, raising questions about the quality of ingredients or the standard preparation of the dish. Lastly, the garlic sauce was described as being virtually absent ("just not there"), further contributing to the overall lack of flavor.
This customer concluded their review by expressing disappointment and stating that, based on their recent experience and other recent reviews (though not provided in this data), they would not be returning to Mr. Chan's. This strong negative sentiment underscores a significant decline in this customer's perception of the restaurant.
Another review echoes this sentiment of past fondness followed by present disappointment. This customer, who had eaten at Mr. Chan's "a few years back," reported a significant increase in prices ("prices are double") coupled with a perceived decrease in food quality ("for low quality"). They specifically mentioned the chicken lo mein, a common and often expectedly satisfying dish in Chinese restaurants, as being "so dry it made me lose my appetite." The reviewer also highlighted the current price of $15 for chicken lo mein as "crazy," indicating a belief that the cost no longer justifies the quality received. This customer also concluded with a definitive statement of not returning, lamenting their past positive experiences with the restaurant.
Based solely on these two recent reviews, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive overview of the current environment and services of Mr. Chan's Chinese Cuisine. The emptiness reported by one reviewer might suggest a quiet or perhaps uninviting atmosphere, but this is merely an observation from a single visit. There is no information provided about the decor, cleanliness, or overall ambiance of the restaurant.
Similarly, details about the services offered are scarce. We know they likely offer takeout, as one reviewer ordered food, though the experience was negative. There is no mention of dine-in service, delivery options beyond third-party services (if any), or the attentiveness and efficiency of the staff. The focus of the reviews is primarily on the quality and taste of the food itself.
Regarding the features of Mr. Chan's Chinese Cuisine, the past popularity of their shrimp egg rolls could be considered a former feature. However, the recent negative experiences suggest that the quality or consistency of even previously well-regarded items may have declined. The current features, based on the reviews, seem to be large portion sizes (though the quality is questioned) and potentially higher prices compared to the perceived value.
There is no promotional information available in the provided data. Therefore, local users cannot be informed of any special offers, discounts, or featured menu items that might currently be available at Mr. Chan's Chinese Cuisine.
For local users in Flushing considering Mr. Chan's Chinese Cuisine, it is crucial to take into account the recent negative feedback regarding food quality, flavor, texture, and pricing. While the restaurant may have had a positive reputation in the past for certain items like shrimp egg rolls, recent experiences indicate a potential decline in these areas. The reported emptiness of the restaurant during a weekday evening might also be a factor to consider.
If you are a local user who has had positive experiences with Mr. Chan's in the past, the recent reviews suggest that the current quality might not be consistent with your previous memories. For those who have never tried Mr. Chan's, the recent feedback raises significant concerns about whether the restaurant currently offers a satisfactory dining experience in terms of food quality and value for money.
Given the limited and negative recent feedback, local users might want to exercise caution or seek more up-to-date reviews from other sources before deciding to patronize Mr. Chan's Chinese Cuisine. Alternatively, contacting the restaurant directly to inquire about their current menu, preparation methods, and any assurances regarding food quality might provide further insight.
In conclusion, Mr. Chan's Chinese Cuisine in Flushing, NY, has received recent negative feedback concerning the flavor and texture of their dishes, the quality of ingredients, and the perceived value for the price. While they may have been popular in the past for items like shrimp egg rolls, recent customer experiences suggest a decline in quality. Local users should be aware of these recent reviews when considering dining at or ordering from Mr. Chan's Chinese Cuisine and may want to seek additional information before making a decision.

I use to love this place, co workers and I would stop by specifically for shrimp egg rolls which was always a hit 🔥 so I decided to drop by last Wednesday and get some shrimp fried rice and broccoli. The place was completely empty which was a sign because IYKYK but I still proceeded to order. The portions was big but the food lack flavor, the rice was grittty texture, I found 2 jumbo shrimps in my food and we all know there’s no jumbo shrimps in 🍤 fried rice, and the garlic sauce was just not there. I hate that for them but based off the recent reviews and my last experience I won’t be coming back.
I have eaten here before a few years back, now prices are double and for low quality. Chicken lo mein was so dry it made me lose my appetite. 15 dollars for chicken lo mein now it’s crazy. Sorry but I used to love this place. Never again
This Chinese food is the best Chinese food i have ever had in my life. I have lived in New York and California, tried many places and this place makes the most fresh, authentic, tasty, Chinese food. I’ve had it 3 times this week because I just moved back and it feels so good to feel like i have a taste of my childhood again. I hope this place stays in business forever. Their chef is AMAZING. Staff is always so friendly. Food is consistent and delivered always warm-hot. They are also so accomodating when it comes to modifying your order. 500 stars! ⭐️
One of the worst places I ever been. The Rice was cold, only four shrimps for $14 dollars 😱
