About MOON STAR II
Welcome to MOON STAR II, a Chinese restaurant located at 5873 Palmer Park Blvd in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As a part of the local Chinese restaurant scene, MOON STAR II offers a distinctive dining experience that has garnered both positive and mixed reactions from its patrons. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the restaurant based on recent customer feedback, covering aspects such as the environment, services, features, and perceived quality of the food.
One of the immediately noticeable aspects of MOON STAR II, as highlighted by a customer who initially visited to view the menu, is the exceptional cleanliness of the establishment. The restaurant was described as "spotless," indicating a strong emphasis on hygiene and a well-maintained dining environment. This commitment to cleanliness can contribute significantly to a comfortable and pleasant dining experience for guests.
In terms of service, MOON STAR II appears to prioritize efficiency. Customers have reported "excellent" service and noted that the food arrived "quickly" after ordering. This suggests that the restaurant is well-organized and aims to provide a prompt dining experience for its patrons, whether they are dining in or opting for takeout services (though takeout was not explicitly mentioned in these reviews, it is a common offering for Chinese restaurants).
A unique feature of MOON STAR II that has captured the attention of customers is the use of robot delivery for food and drinks. One reviewer mentioned the "interesting robot delivery" as a novelty. While this technological addition may add an element of intrigue and modern flair to the dining experience, customer feedback suggests that its novelty might be overshadowed by other aspects of the meal, particularly the taste and authenticity of the food.
The menu at MOON STAR II includes a variety of Chinese dishes, with specific mentions of General Tso's Chicken, Singapore Rice Noodles (with chicken, beef, and vegetables), and Fried Rice (without shrimp). Customer experiences with these dishes have been diverse. One reviewer found the General Tso's Chicken to be "not bad," offering a somewhat positive note on this popular item. However, the same reviewer expressed concerns about the Fried Rice and Singapore Rice Noodles, noting that both smelled and tasted of curry, and the meats in both dishes also seemed to have a curry marinade. This customer found the addition of curry to these dishes to be inauthentic for Chinese cuisine.
Furthermore, this reviewer also noted an "artificial" taste to the chicken, beef, and pork in both the Fried Rice and Singapore Rice Noodles, although they acknowledged they could be mistaken about this perception. Despite these concerns about the flavor profile and perceived authenticity, the reviewer did mention that each plate contained a generous portion size, easily enough to feed two to three people.
In stark contrast to the previous review, another customer had an overwhelmingly positive experience at MOON STAR II, proclaiming it "the best tasting and best Asian restaurant you have ever been to." This reviewer, who claimed to have traveled extensively across the country trying Asian restaurants, asserted that MOON STAR II is "THE BEST IVE EVER BEEN TO." They also praised the prices as "perfect, cheap," and described the food as "the best thing to hit my tounge." Additionally, they echoed the positive sentiment about the "wonderful" service and the "robot" feature. This reviewer's enthusiasm is significant, urging others to try the restaurant and describing their own $11 meal (which included a spring roll) in glowing terms.
Adding to the positive feedback, a brief third review simply stated, "EVERYTHING YOU GET HERE WILL BE THE BEST VERSION OF IT YOUVE EVER TRIED." This strong endorsement further highlights the potential for an exceptional culinary experience at MOON STAR II, at least for some customers.
Considering the contrasting opinions, the food at MOON STAR II appears to be a point of divergence among customers. While some find the flavors and quality to be outstanding, others have concerns about the authenticity of certain dishes and a perceived "artificial" taste in some of the meats, as well as the unexpected presence of curry in traditionally non-curried rice and noodle dishes. The General Tso's Chicken seems to be a more consistently palatable option.
The environment of MOON STAR II is positively noted for its cleanliness, suggesting a comfortable and hygienic space for dining. The service is generally praised for its speed and excellence. The robot delivery system is a unique feature that adds a modern and interesting element to the dining experience, although its impact on the overall satisfaction seems secondary to the quality and taste of the food.
Currently, there is no promotional information available in the provided customer reviews. They may also have a menu available online or in-store that details their offerings and prices.
In conclusion, MOON STAR II at 5873 Palmer Park Blvd in Colorado Springs offers a unique dining experience with its clean environment, fast and excellent service, and the novelty of robot food delivery. However, customer opinions on the food itself vary significantly, with some praising it as the best Asian food they've ever had, while others express concerns about the authenticity and flavor profiles of certain dishes, particularly the presence of curry in unexpected items and a perceived "artificial" taste in some meats. The General Tso's Chicken appears to be a more consistently well-received option. Potential customers may want to consider these differing perspectives when deciding whether to try MOON STAR II. For the most up-to-date information on their menu and any promotions, contacting the restaurant directly is recommended.

Customer Reviews
We passed this place about a month ago. We went in just to look at the menu and saw that the restaurant was spotless, exceptionally clean. We returned and ordered the General Tso's Chicken, Singapore Rice Noodles (chicken, beef, and vegetables), and Fried Rice without Shrimp. The service was excellent and the food arrived quickly. The novelty of the robot delivery wore off as soon as we tasted our food. The rice for the fried rice and the rice noodles arrived and smelled of curry and had the spicy taste of it as well. The chicken, beef, and pork in both dishes tasted as if they had been marinated in curry also. In addition, all of the meat had an "artificial" taste. I'm sure I'm wrong about this, but that was the feeling we had. The General Tso's Chicken was not bad, I must admit. Each plate had enough food to feed two to three people easily. This place may appeal to others, but I found the addition of curry to our rice and noodles inauthentic when it came to Chinese food. Again, nice atmosphere, clean, interesting robot delivery of food and drinks, but the quality of the food takes away from all of these.
If your looking for the best tasting and best asian restaurant you have ever been to, do not hesitate, come here. Ive traveled all 4 corners of this country trying asian restaurants. THIS IS THE BEST IVE EVER BEEN TO. Prices are perfect, cheap, food is the best thing to hit my tounge, service is wonderful and they even have a robot. Please listen to my pleas, try this, this is the best thing you will ever have. Please dont scroll past this. I cant put in words how great this is. THIS WHOLE MEAL WAS 11 DOLLARS (i ate the spring roll already before i took the picture) EVERYTHING YOU GET HERE WILL BE THE BEST VERSION OF IT YOUVE EVER TRIED.
This place is a hidden gem. Extremely fast service. Very good Chinese food. Large portions. Inexpensive pricing. And real cool robot cat table delivery.
Food quality continues to decline, had bones and uncooked chicken in our meals. Service is terrible too. Arrived to pick up my meal at the time they said it would be ready, then had to wait another 20 minutes, then I received an attitude when I questioned the delay. I’ve been a customer for years, but they have lost my business for good.
The food was good, so was the service. The prices were a bit high which is why I chose 4 stars.
