The establishment appears to focus on providing a comfortable dining experience with a selection of popular Chinese culinary options.

The menu at Moon Palace, as indicated by customer reviews, includes staple Chinese dishes. For instance, Mongolian Beef is available, though its flavor profile might differ from what some patrons are accustomed to. Seafood options are also prominent, with a notable mention of a Seafood Sizzling Plate that has garnered positive feedback for its flavor. Other dishes such as "seafood noodles" and "shrimps and vegetables" suggest a diverse offering that includes both meat and seafood-centric entrees. While specific details on other menu items are not provided, most Chinese restaurants feature a wide range of appetizers, soups, rice dishes, and noodle preparations. Common choices often include various fried rice options, lo mein, and classic preparations of chicken, pork, and other beef dishes. The goal is generally to provide a comprehensive selection that ensures there is something for every diner's preference.

The environment of Moon Palace is a notable aspect, with a customer specifically praising the "great furnishings." This suggests that the restaurant has invested in its interior decor, creating a pleasant and comfortable dining space. Unlike some more utilitarian Chinese eateries, Moon Palace appears to offer an elevated aesthetic that enhances the dining experience. The ambiance is likely designed to be inviting and suitable for various occasions, from casual meals to more deliberate dining experiences. A well-furnished environment often contributes to a more relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, encouraging diners to linger and savor their meals. The presence of such furnishings indicates a commitment to providing more than just food, but also a comfortable setting for its patrons.

Services at Moon Palace include dine-in and take-out options. The restaurant is described as appearing "busy, with good volume takeout orders," indicating that both in-house dining and convenient take-out services are popular among its customers. The staff's approach to service is highlighted positively, with the server being described as "very kind" and the overall service as "good." This suggests an emphasis on customer satisfaction through friendly and efficient interactions. A complimentary offering of "unsweetened tea" is a small but appreciated touch that adds to the overall service experience. While specific details on delivery are not provided, the high volume of takeout orders indicates a strong focus on providing convenient options for customers who prefer to enjoy their meals at home.

Key features of Moon Palace include its focus on a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing dining environment, as evidenced by the "great furnishings." This sets it apart from some other local Chinese restaurants that might prioritize speed and simplicity over ambiance. The kindness of the server and generally good service contribute significantly to the positive features, indicating a customer-centric approach. The complimentary unsweetened tea is another small but valued amenity. From a culinary perspective, the Seafood Sizzling Plate stands out as a consistently praised dish, suggesting it might be a signature item. While there are mixed reviews on the flavors of some dishes like Mongolian Beef, and concerns about the freshness of some ingredients in the sizzling plate, the fact that the "shrimps and vegetables were good and delightful" suggests a varying consistency across the menu. The popularity of their takeout service is also a key feature, highlighting their ability to handle a high volume of orders efficiently.

Regarding promotional information, without specific advertised deals, Moon Palace would likely rely on several common strategies for local Chinese restaurants to attract and retain customers. These might include:

  • Ambiance as a Draw: Promoting its "great furnishings" and comfortable dining environment to attract customers looking for a pleasant sit-down meal.
  • Highlighted Signature Dishes: Focusing on popular and well-received dishes, such as the "Seafood Sizzling Plate," in its marketing efforts.
  • Value Offerings: While not explicitly stated, offering lunch specials or family combos could be a way to attract value-conscious diners.
  • Customer Service: Leveraging positive feedback about its "very kind" servers to highlight its commitment to a friendly dining experience.
  • Take-Out Efficiency: Promoting its high volume and efficient take-out service for convenient meal solutions.
  • Online Presence: Utilizing platforms like Google Maps and potentially social media to showcase its menu, hours, and positive aspects of its environment and service.
  • Complimentary Items: Highlighting small gestures like the free unsweetened tea to enhance perceived value.

The organic word-of-mouth generated by satisfied customers, particularly concerning the comfortable setting and good service, serves as a powerful form of promotion for Moon Palace. Addressing any inconsistencies in food flavor or ingredient freshness, while leveraging its strengths, would be crucial for sustained promotional success and building a strong, consistent reputation within the Sequim community.

The food here was OK. I’m used to different flavored mongolian beef, so I didn’t like its flavors here. My husband’s seafood noodles here was also mediocre. My father in law really loves his seafood sizzling plate though! Great furnishings, and the server was very kind. Free tea that is unsweetened.

The shrimps and vegetables were good and delightful. The sizzling seafood plate was flavorful, some of the ingredients were not freshly fresh. The service was good. It appeared busy, with good volume takeout orders.

This is a great place to stop for a bite to eat if you’re craving Chinese! The food was fresh and very tasty. We got the broccoli chicken and Mongolian beef with fried rice. Friendly and fast service as well.

Not gonna mince words- the food here is gross. The egg flower soup was goopy, like gravy consistency, the pork rice was grey and mushy and unappetizing, the Szechuan beef was chewy and the sauce was a little weird, the sweet and sour shrimp weren’t served with sauce, so the dry fried shrimps were underwhelming. I didn’t finish my lunch plate, which was small portion as it was for $15. I’m surprised that this place is fairly well-reviewed… I felt like crap for the rest of the day after eating here. Do not recommend.

First they gave us not the correct ordered and charged us for it. They said that they thought we ordered 3 sweet and sour chicken.Teriyaki Chicken looks like slop they serve it over rice my daughter even asked what is was cause it's not supposed to have carrots and broccoli in it.Chicken Chow main is very unfavorable and looks like it was boiled. The wonton soup is really really salty. And they didn't give me my hot yellow mustard. Definitely will not be going back.
