One customer found the food to be "Great authentic Chinese food and great atmosphere." They specifically enjoyed the "fish in spicy oil and deep fried chicken with peppers and peanuts," describing both as "delicious" but "A bit too sweet for my liking" while still being "overall so good."

Another customer had a less impressive takeout experience, describing it as "so so." However, they found that "Food was definitely better eating there." They tried the "squid with salty cabbage" and their wife ordered the "spicy fish filet," both being lunch specials that "Came with soup and white rice on the side." This reviewer found their "hot and sour soup was blend, a bit much on the sesame oil," and their wife's "wonton soup is alo on the blend side." They noted that "The main dishes tasted good, a bit on the heavy side to us but that's Sichuan style cooking." They found the "service was good" and the place "reminded me of typical old style Chinese restaurants."

An update from the same reviewer mentioned a return visit for lunch. Their wife ordered the "twice cooked fish" which was "good," but the "beef in my dish (beef chow fun) was not very fresh." They stated that the issue was handled well by the restaurant, and in exchange, they ordered the "shredded port with bamboo straps" which was "delicious." They indicated they "Well be back."

A final update noted that "They have changed ownership" but that "everything pretty much stayed the same" with a possible slight improvement in service, encouraging local support for the business.

Great authentic Chinese food and great atmosphere. Had the fish in spicy oil and deep fried chicken with peppers and peanuts, and both were delicious. A bit too sweet for my liking but overall so good.

My wife and I ordered some take out from them and it was so so. So we went back to try them dining in. Food was definitely better eating there. I ordered the squid with salty cabbage. My wife ordered the spicy fish filet. Both lunch specials. Came with soup and white rice on the side. My hot and sour soup was blend, a bit much on the sesame oil. My wife's wonton soup is alo on the blend side. The main dishes tasted good, a bit on the heavy side to us but that's Sichuan style cooking. The service was good. The place reminded me of typical old style Chinese restaurants. Update: 11/18: Went back today for lunch again. My wife ordered the twice cooked fish and I ordered the beef chow fun. My wife's dish was good but the beef in my dish was not very fresh. I told them and they handled it well. In exchange, I ordered the shredded port with bamboo straps. That was delicious. Well be back. Update: They have changed ownership. I'd say everything pretty much stayed the same. Service may have improved a bit. Please support them. Local businesses need our support.

Authentic. The best Ma Po Tofu of my life and I’ve tried a lot. Beef noodle soup is delish, heavy in the sesame oil which I love. And the chow fun is also delicious. Unsuspecting little hole in the wall joint, but very authentic and delicious. Don’t come here if you’re looking for Americanized Chinese food like Orange chicken. Service was great, food came out super quick, hot and fresh. I will DEFINITELY be coming back. Absolutely lovely.

We have been ordering from Moms for years for take out dinners. The pork fried rice is a family favorite as well as the sesame chicken and just about everything else was really good. But it seems that things have changed and not for the better. Inside updates are nice but the recipes have changed. Tonight the pork fried rice was very dry and bland, the sesame chicken was definitely not fresh, and the other items (chicken with broccoli and spicy cucumbers) were drenched in oil that tasted very off. Basically everything went from what used to be 5 stars down to 2. If there is new ownership, I hope that they go back to the old recipes. We will give them one more chance but if it is anything like tonight we will find another place to order.
