About Molly Woo's Asian Bistro

Molly Woo's Asian Bistro is a Chinese American restaurant located at 1500 Polaris Pkwy #220, Columbus, OH 43240, USA. They can be contacted at (614) 985-9667 or +1 614-985-9667.

The restaurant is noted for its pleasing decorations and nice atmosphere, paying homage to Asian culture in its interior design. However, one customer experienced disorganization and a hectic environment in the bar area, with slow initial service at the bar table and the bar itself, suggesting a potential need for more bar staff. This customer, with positive prior experiences at other Cameron Mitchell restaurants, had higher expectations for the service.

The menu includes a variety of dishes such as spring rolls, hot sour soup, happy family, and pad Thai. While the entrees were generally considered good and decently priced, the hot sour soup was perceived by one reviewer as extremely overpriced and mediocre. The spring rolls, priced at approximately $6 per roll, were also considered overpriced despite being good. In contrast, the chicken pad Thai was noted for its plentiful portion and delicious taste, and the happy family dish was also well-received with a good portion size for sharing.

Another dining experience, a lunch visit, was largely positive. While the initial service was a little slow, it improved after the main course order was placed. The food, including edamame, spring rolls, egg rolls, chicken fried rice, chicken lo mein, and a vegetarian version of hunan crispy tofu, was reported to be hot and delicious. The restaurant was also accommodating in creating a vegetarian option. The atmosphere was described as neat.

Overall, Molly Woo's Asian Bistro offers a range of Chinese American dishes in an aesthetically pleasing setting. While some customers have experienced slower or disorganized service, particularly at the bar, and found certain appetizers to be overpriced, others have enjoyed the quality and portion sizes of the main dishes and appreciated the accommodating service. As a Cameron Mitchell restaurant, there may be an expectation of exceptional service and food quality.

Been wanting to try this place as I love pf changs and was craving Chinese American cuisine . The decorations and atmosphere is very pleasing and nice . Must have been an off day for the bar area but it was very disorganized and hectic . We sat at the bar table and not greeted for some time . We eventually sat down at the bar and got our drinks and orders . Bartender was pleasant but this restaurant looks like it needed a bar back or second bartender . I expected better service as my previous Cameron Mitchell restaurant experiences were very good from beginning to end . We got spring rolls , hot sour soup , happy family, and pad Thai . While the entrees were good and decently priced, I find the hot sour soup at $8 extremely overpriced and just mediocre . The spring rolls comes in two so basically $6 for each roll. Super overpriced but they were good . Chicken pad Thai was plentiful and delicious . The happy family was also great and good portion to share . I want to give this place another try but pf Chang def better for an American style Chinese restaurant. I will come back but for a Cameron Mitchell restaurant, I do expect exceptional service and food .

My mom and I stopped in with my girls for lunch during back to school shopping. We had a great experience. The service was a little slow at the start but it picked up once we placed our main course order. Our food was hot and delicious. We shared edamame, spring and egg rolls. We each ordered a main dish and they were very accommodating something I wanted to a vegetarian version. We had chicken fried rice, chicken lo mein, and hunan crispy tofu. Our lunch break was much needed and worth it. The atmosphere was neat and paid homage to the Asian culture.

Um... is Molly Woo's under new management? I was low-key appalled with the service. Cameron Mitchell Restaurants supposedly prides themselves on focusing on hospitality. My dad and I dined at Molly Woo's tonight after we left the Ohio State game. We arrived just before 5:00. The hosts greeted us when we walked in but were kind of short with us "we can't seats you right now, we have to wait for our reservations to get here. But go find a table in the bar area.... over there" (pointing but not really telling us to grab any table... OK. Not really hospitable, but whatever.) And the gaggle of hosts (at least a half dozen staff) at the front kiosk weren't friendly, no problem. I get it; it was probably shift change, probably hectic getting ready for dinner on a Saturday night. We made our way to the bar and sat at a dirty table. The male blonde bartender with glasses came over right away to clear off the table and give us menus. OK great, no problem. Cool. Didn't tell us his name. Ok, whatever. He came back to get our drink order, brought us water. Great. The two of us both ordered soft drinks which took about 10 minutes to arrive.... OK. Cool. Then another male bartender with tons of tattoos came over, asked us if we were ready and took our order. Great. He was also short with us, not friendly, not smiling.... so here's where i start getting the vibe that the entire staff is miserable and hates their job. Our food came out hot, the food was great! Fabulous food. I ordered firecracker chicken. He ordered a lomain combo. They brought our food to us with side plates; one plate was dirty, so the server got us a new plate. Gross but OK cool. Here's where I got skeeved out big time with the vibes/attitudes of the bartenders (specifically Mr. Tattoos). After we were 1/2 done eating, Mr. Tattoos came over to do table checks on the 3 booths in the bar. And I heard him say to all 3 booths, "everything ok?" ...Which is weird for a bartender to say at a restaurant that prides itself on its hospitality. The vibe was just so weird. The way he said it was so annoyed, like it was a hassle to help us and he didn't care if "everything was actually ok". Mr. Tattoos comes over a little while later and asks if we need boxes. Both of us say yes. Mr. Tattoos comes right back, sets our boxes on the table along with the check - without asking us if we needed anything else. He literally just dropped the boxes and check and bolted without saying a word. He came back a moment later, took the check, and our empty dishes. Came back right away with the check, sat it down in front of my dad and bolted again without saying a word.... weird, right? I mean, when was the last time you dined somewhere and the server didn't say "thank you, have a great night"? I wanted a to go cup for my tea, so i flagged him down a moment later. He brought a to go cup for me like 5 minutes later. My dad and I both wanted to use the restroom, and since I felt unwelcome from the moment we walked in, I suggested to my dad that we take our jackets and vacate the booth right away. The ladies restroom was kinda yucky, needed some attention. No toilet paper in my stall. The hosts didn't say goodbye when we walked out the front door. I mean... it was so weird. Maybe they were having a staffing issue or the boss yelled at everyone before their shift. I don't know. It just felt cold from start to finish. The reason I'm harping on this dining experience is that customers like us could choose from literally thousands of restaurants in Columbus. And most people don't like taking their business to restaurants where the staff sucks. (I am one of those people.) It's really a shame - because Molly Woo's has literally the best Asian cuisine in the North Columbus area. But I probably won't be back because of the shifty vibes I got.

I am a long time fan of Molly Woos! I love that they can accommodate food allergies! They have a great gluten-free menu and vegetarian options! My favorite is the fried rice with crispy tofu, they are able to make it with potato starch to be gf. I also like Mollys feast!

Love the atmosphere and LOVE THE FOOD EVEN MORE! We have never been disappointed! Highly recommend the Potstickers (seared) and the Crab Rangoon. For the main entree I recommend Mongolian Beef, Sesame Chicken, and Garlic chicken. The staff are ALWAYS FRIENDLY, professional, and there to serve with a smile. My family rated 10/10! Great Job Molly Woo’s!
