About Moki Sushi

Welcome to Moki Sushi! While categorized as a Chinese Restaurant for platform purposes, Moki Sushi, located at 2017 S Neil St in Champaign, IL, USA, is a Japanese restaurant that has garnered positive attention for its dining experience. For local users in US seeking information about restaurants, understanding different dining concepts can be helpful when exploring your own local options.

Moki Sushi is particularly known for its "all you can eat" offer, priced at $30 with an additional 18% service tax included in the bill. This option is highlighted by customers as being "absolutely worth it" and a "very reasonable price," especially when considering it includes not only a wide selection of sushi but also appetizers and desserts. This makes it a strong contender for those seeking a high-value dining experience.

A unique feature of Moki Sushi's all-you-can-eat policy is its emphasis on minimizing food waste. Diners are required to finish everything they order within their sitting, as there is a charge of $1 per uneaten piece. Additionally, taking leftovers to go is not permitted. This policy encourages mindful ordering and ensures that diners fully enjoy the freshly prepared food.

Customers have praised the quality of the sushi, stating that the rolls are "really worth it." The inclusion of appetizers and desserts in the all-you-can-eat offer further enhances the value and provides a more comprehensive dining experience, making it potentially "one of the best value dinners in Chambana."

The service at Moki Sushi is described as "decent" and the staff as "very friendly and accommodating," even while they were still getting organized. This suggests a positive and welcoming atmosphere. However, it's important to note that, according to a review, Moki Sushi did not have a liquor license at the time of the review, which might be a consideration for some diners.

In summary, while Moki Sushi is located in the USA, its concept of offering a reasonably priced all-you-can-eat experience with a focus on quality sushi, along with appetizers and desserts, and friendly service, provides a model of what you might look for in a local restaurant in US. The emphasis on value and the unique policy regarding food waste are also interesting aspects to consider when evaluating dining options.

Absolutely worth it! They have an all you can eat for 30$ (plus 18% service tax included in the bill) and its amazing. But there is a catch you gotta finish everything you order in your sitting or they charge 1$ per piece you waste and you can't take a box. But the Sushis are really worth it.

This place was really good. We got the all you can eat sushi for three people at a very reasonable price. There is a fee if you do not eat everything, so don't order too much! It also included appetizers and desserts, making this one of the best value dinners in Chambana. The service was decent. Clearly they're still getting organized, but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. No liquor license as of yet is the only major downside.

The food here is underwhelming. The takoyaki lacked the usual bonito flakes, which was disappointing. The sushi and sashimi options are quite limited, and the restaurant only allows you to order two rounds. At $29.99 plus a mandatory 18% service fee, the quality and variety should be much better for the price. We will not come back.

My son and I only had to wait for a few minutes. We went there on a whim for a quick bite. They offered drink refills multiple times. They were very friendly. The food exceeded our expectations! Would definitely recommend the sushi and appetizers (despite the overall google rating).

Update in 2021.6.14 --- Used to be my favorite place but the service quality has significantly dropped making me very upset. First we waited more than 25 minutes outside the door after their official opening hour (the staffs were late for 15 minutes and they kept ignoring us after they arrived). The waitress was hesitated in providing additional wasabi and she said I will have to take away the leftover wasabi (for god sake it's only wasabi) and reluctant in filling water. Finally the food amount and quality has reduced and the unagi was not as good as previous years. The amount of sashimi was significantly reduced. I used to drive for two hours just for this restaurant a couple of times but I don't think I will come back again. Sad. (this review is two years ago) Love this place. Fancy and tasty with a reasonable price. Lunch buffet is highly recommended!!
