About Ming Wong
Ming Wong is a Chinese restaurant situated at 29 West Burnside Avenue in the Bronx, New York. As a "Chinese Restaurant," it operates within a platform category that typically encompasses establishments offering a variety of dishes rooted in Chinese culinary traditions. These dishes often include a range of preparations involving rice, noodles, vegetables, meats, poultry, and seafood, prepared using distinct Chinese cooking techniques and flavor profiles.
Based on the limited customer reviews available, there are contrasting opinions regarding the food and a significant concern raised about the customer service at Ming Wong. One reviewer simply stated, "The food is more tasty than china town," suggesting a potentially higher quality or more appealing flavor compared to some restaurants in Manhattan's Chinatown area. Another reviewer offered a brief but positive endorsement, saying, "Delicious," indicating satisfaction with the taste of the food. A third reviewer simply expressed gratitude with "Thank you," which could imply a positive experience, although the context is minimal.
However, a more detailed review paints a starkly different picture, focusing entirely on a negative customer service experience. This reviewer recounted an interaction with a woman who answered the phone, describing her as having a "really bad temper for simple situations." The issue began when the customer inquired about delivery service. According to the review, the woman abruptly replied "no," then immediately said "bye" and hung up the phone without allowing the customer to explore other options, such as placing a pickup order.
The negative experience escalated when the customer called back. The reviewer claimed that the woman recognized their number and allegedly yelled, "I said no delivery!!" The customer responded in kind, stating their intention to place a pickup order and expressing their disapproval of being hung up on. Subsequently, when the customer attempted to order and asked for clarification on the difference between chow mein and lo mein, the reviewer stated that the woman became "frustrated." This negative interaction ultimately led the customer to abandon their order and try a different restaurant, noting the lost potential for a "big order."
The stark contrast between the positive, albeit brief, comments on food taste and the detailed, highly negative account of customer service suggests a potential inconsistency in the overall customer experience at Ming Wong. While some customers may find the food to be delicious and even superior to other Chinese restaurants, there is a significant concern regarding the professionalism and demeanor of at least one staff member who handles phone orders.
Information regarding the environment of Ming Wong is not provided in the available customer reviews. Therefore, an objective description of the restaurant's ambiance, decor, or seating arrangements for dine-in customers cannot be offered. It is unknown whether Ming Wong primarily focuses on takeout and delivery or if it also offers a significant dine-in experience.
In terms of services, the negative review indicates that Ming Wong does not offer delivery, at least according to the phone interaction described. However, the fact that the frustrated customer intended to place a pickup order suggests that takeout service is available. The positive reviews do not explicitly mention the services used (dine-in or takeout), but the comment about food being "more tasty than china town" could imply a dine-in experience, although it's not definitive. The availability of online ordering is not mentioned in the provided reviews.
Features of Ming Wong, based on the limited information, are primarily related to its cuisine as a Chinese restaurant. The positive reviews suggest that the taste of the food may be a notable feature for some customers. However, the significant issue with customer service, as highlighted in one detailed review, is a prominent aspect of the available feedback. The difference in food quality compared to Chinatown, as perceived by one reviewer, could also be considered a potential feature for those who share that taste preference.
There is no promotional information mentioned in the customer reviews. It is unknown if Ming Wong offers any discounts, specials, or loyalty programs. To inquire about any current promotions, customers would need to contact the restaurant directly via phone at (718) 562-9793 or +1 718-562-9793 or visit their location at 29 West Burnside Avenue, Bronx, NY 10453, USA.
In conclusion, Ming Wong is a Chinese restaurant in the Bronx that has received limited but contrasting feedback. While some customers have found the food to be delicious and even superior to other options, a significant concern has been raised regarding unprofessional and rude customer service during phone interactions. Potential customers may want to consider these points, particularly if they plan to order by phone. Information regarding the dining environment and any promotions is currently unavailable based on the provided reviews.

The food is more tasty than china town. Delicious Thank you
The worst customer service ever!!!!! The lady that answered the phone has a really bad temper for simple situations! All I asked is if they deliver. She said no, then said bye and hung up the phone without giving me an opportunity to make other decisions. Then when I called back, she recognized my number and yelled at me, saying, "I said no delivery!!" I yelled at her back and said, "I decided I wanted to pick up! Don't hang up the phone on me, it's very disrespectful!" As I was finally ordering, she got frustrated with me because I told her I wanted to know the difference between chow mein and lo mein. That's when I had to give up and try a different restaurant. It's her lost. I had a big order as well...
