About Ming's Restaurant
Welcome to Ming's Restaurant, a Chinese restaurant situated at a prime waterfront location at 1550 Tiburon Blvd in Belvedere Tiburon, California. This establishment offers diners the advantage of enjoying their meals with scenic views, making it a potentially attractive option for both locals and visitors seeking a dining experience with a backdrop. Based on recent customer feedback, Ming's Restaurant presents a mixed culinary experience, with certain dishes receiving high praise while others are considered less remarkable.
As a Chinese restaurant in the Belvedere Tiburon area, Ming's Restaurant benefits significantly from its "wonderful location." The proximity to the waterfront likely contributes to a pleasant ambiance and could be a key draw for those looking for a meal with a view. This scenic setting sets Ming's apart and enhances the overall dining experience beyond just the food itself.
In terms of its culinary offerings, Ming's Restaurant provides both dine-in and takeout options, as indicated by a review mentioning a "take out lunch." The feedback on the food is somewhat varied. One customer who ordered the basil eggplant with beef found it to be predominantly eggplant, with a scarcity of basil and beef. Additionally, they noted that a request for "spicy" resulted in a dish that was "barely mild plus." The mix vegetable fried rice was described as "average." This suggests that certain dishes might not meet expectations in terms of ingredient balance or flavor intensity.
However, not all culinary experiences at Ming's Restaurant were negative. Another reviewer had a significantly more positive experience, particularly highlighting two specific items. They enthusiastically praised the wonton soup, stating that "they know their broth" and that it was "perfect." Furthermore, they lauded the Shanghai pork dumplings (noting the presence of broth inside) as being "some of the best I've ever had." This strong positive feedback indicates that Ming's Restaurant has the potential to excel in certain classic Chinese dishes, especially those involving flavorful broths and well-crafted dumplings.
Information regarding the general environment or ambiance of Ming's Restaurant beyond its waterfront location is limited in the provided reviews. The focus of the feedback is primarily on the food quality of specific takeout items. Therefore, local users seeking a dine-in experience might need to consider the scenic location as a primary environmental factor and potentially inquire further about the interior ambiance.
Similarly, details about the services offered at Ming's Restaurant are somewhat sparse. One review mentions takeout service, indicating that this is an available option. The interaction described in the review about the basil eggplant with beef suggests that customization requests (such as spice level) might be accommodated, although the execution in that instance was not satisfactory. The positive review of the wonton soup and dumplings implies efficient service in delivering well-prepared dishes. However, a comprehensive understanding of the overall service style and attentiveness is not fully available based on the provided feedback.
A key feature of Ming's Restaurant appears to be its location, offering a potentially picturesque dining setting. Another notable feature is the apparent expertise in preparing certain traditional Chinese items, specifically the wonton soup with its excellent broth and the highly-regarded Shanghai pork dumplings with their flavorful broth filling. These dishes stand out as highlights based on the customer reviews and could be signature items worth trying.
Currently, there is no promotional information available for Ming's Restaurant in the provided text. Therefore, local users will need to base their decision on the general feedback regarding the location and the specific dishes mentioned in the reviews.
For local users in Belvedere Tiburon, Ming's Restaurant presents a unique opportunity to dine at a waterfront location, potentially enjoying scenic views alongside their meal. While some takeout dishes, like the basil eggplant with beef and the mix vegetable fried rice, received less favorable reviews, the strong positive feedback on the wonton soup and Shanghai pork dumplings suggests that these items are particular strengths of the restaurant. If you appreciate a great broth in your wonton soup or are a fan of authentic Shanghai-style soup dumplings, Ming's Restaurant might be worth a visit. Wonderful location. Got take out lunch and the food isn’t too bad either. Basil eggplant with beef was all about eggplant. There was hardly any basil or beef. Asked for spicy and it was barely mild plus. Mix vegetable fried rice was average.
They know their broth! The wonton soup is perfect. The Shanghai Pork dumplings (broth inside) was some of the best i’ve ever had!!
Very great food, it’s real authentic Chinese food. Good Fried Rice, very good orange chicken and other stuff. Order takes a very short amount of time to come out.
