About Ming's

Ming's is a Chinese restaurant situated at 393 8th Ave in Midtown West, New York City. Based on available customer reviews, there appear to be varying perspectives on the dining experience.

One review contains a highly negative sentiment, with a customer's friend humorously (and concerningly) stating that their annual food poisoning incident, purportedly from Ming's, has the benefit of alleviating other pain. This review should be taken as a serious caution regarding potential food quality or safety.

Another customer reported dissatisfaction with the beef and broccoli dish, stating that it contained "very little beef" and was mostly rice, especially considering the $16 price point. This suggests a potential issue with the value and proportion of ingredients in at least one of their dishes.

In terms of pricing, one reviewer suggested that there are more competitively priced options available downtown, and that halal carts in the area may offer a greater quantity of food for a lower cost, indicating that Ming's might not be the most economical choice in the vicinity.

On a more positive note, a couple of reviewers mentioned that the ingredients at Ming's seem fresh, and that the delivery service is fast. These are potential advantages for customers prioritizing convenience and ingredient quality.

In summary, the limited reviews for Ming's present a mixed picture. While the restaurant may offer fast delivery and use fresh ingredients, significant concerns have been raised regarding food quality, ingredient proportions, and price competitiveness. Potential customers may want to consider these points before ordering from or visiting Ming's.

Very little beef in the beef and broccolli. $16 for mostly rice. There are competitive prices downtown. Or the halal cart guys can feed you more for less. A couple positives: The ingredients seem fresh. Fast delivery.

Are the locals, fools? This evening I ordered: 1 veg fried rice, menu price $4.40+ 1 kung pao chicken combo, menu price $ 7.60+ So the TOTAL should be $12+$1taxes=$13 Asked the lady order taker, the total, she confidently said $15.95, told her this was wrong and too high....she loudly repeated $15.95,so I requested her,to send me a menu card,so I could clarify, the prices to the delivery man. Of course, there was no menu card sent by her. Are people going to stoupe so low, just to make some extra money. Think the local authorities should look into the above and start taking strict action and stop people from such unethical ways of doing business.

While the food is good, customer service is not the greatest. They messed up an order and refused to assist in correcting the issue.

This location is currently operational, for those wondering. However let it be known that patrons aren't permitted inside to order. Instead you stand outside by the window, then a worker takes orders that way. Out of various restaurants I've tried, this is the first to practice distancing in this fashion. Not that it's a problem, just want people to know what to expect.
