About Ming's Garden Chinese Restaurant

Ming's Garden Chinese Restaurant is located at 150 Front St in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin (WI 53916), USA. As a local Chinese restaurant, Ming's Garden offers a variety of Chinese cuisine options to the community. They can be contacted at (920) 887-3838 or their mobile number +1 920-887-3838 for inquiries or to place orders. Based on the available customer reviews, experiences at Ming's Garden appear to be contrasting, indicating potential inconsistencies in the overall dining experience.

One customer expressed significant dissatisfaction with the restaurant, stating that the quality has diminished over the years. This reviewer suggested a decline in the quality of food preparation and ingredients, noting a change in taste. Furthermore, they described the restaurant as "gross overall" and specifically mentioned the need for cleanliness and repair in the bathroom facilities. This feedback raises concerns about the hygiene and maintenance standards of the establishment, which could be a deterrent for potential diners.

In stark contrast, another customer reported a highly positive experience during their visit. This reviewer was impressed by the extensive number of options available, suggesting a menu with a wide variety of dishes, potentially offered through a buffet. They specifically praised several items, including the crab rangoons, dumplings, and stuffed mushrooms, highlighting their tasty and well-prepared nature. The reviewer also noted the unexpected inclusion of hot apple pie on the buffet, which they found appealing. Additionally, they mentioned that the food was served hot and the service was great, giving the restaurant a "thumbs up" for their experience that night. This positive feedback suggests that Ming's Garden can offer a satisfying dining experience with a diverse selection and good service, at least on some occasions.

The conflicting nature of these two reviews makes it challenging to provide a definitive assessment of the environment, services, and consistent quality of Ming's Garden Chinese Restaurant. The positive review suggests a restaurant with a potentially large buffet offering a wide range of dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and even desserts. The mention of a buffet implies a self-service format where customers can choose from various prepared dishes. The positive experience also indicates that, at times, the food is well-prepared, served hot, and accompanied by good service.

However, the negative review paints a concerning picture of declining food quality, poor overall cleanliness, and specifically problematic bathroom facilities. These are significant factors that can deter customers and impact their dining experience negatively. The discrepancy between these two reviews could indicate variability in the restaurant's standards over time or inconsistencies in different aspects of their operation (e.g., food quality versus service, or cleanliness versus food taste). It is also possible that different customers have varying expectations and levels of tolerance for certain aspects of a restaurant.

Given the limited information and the polarized nature of the feedback, local users in Beaver Dam considering Ming's Garden Chinese Restaurant should be aware of these contrasting opinions. The restaurant seemingly offers a wide selection of dishes, possibly through a buffet format, which could be appealing to those who enjoy variety. The positive review suggests that some of their dishes, like the crab rangoons, dumplings, and stuffed mushrooms, can be tasty, and the service can be commendable. However, the serious concerns raised about the overall cleanliness and declining food quality in the negative review should also be taken into consideration.

Information regarding specific services such as takeout or delivery is not explicitly mentioned in the reviews. The reference to a buffet suggests that dine-in service is available, at least in that format. There is also no information provided about any unique features of the restaurant, such as special menu items, a particular ambiance, or any promotional offers that might be available to customers.

To gain a more comprehensive understanding of the current state of Ming's Garden Chinese Restaurant, local users might find it beneficial to seek more recent reviews from a wider range of customers. Visiting the restaurant in person could also provide insights into the current environment and cleanliness standards. If the buffet is a primary offering, the variety and quality of the dishes available on a given day could also be assessed firsthand. For those primarily interested in takeout or delivery, inquiring about these services directly from the restaurant might be necessary.

In conclusion, Ming's Garden Chinese Restaurant in Beaver Dam, WI, appears to be a local establishment offering a wide variety of Chinese cuisine, possibly through a buffet. Customer reviews present a mixed picture, with one praising the extensive options, tasty food, and good service, while another expresses significant concerns about declining food quality and poor cleanliness. Local users should consider these contrasting viewpoints when making their dining decisions and may want to seek additional information or experiences to form their own informed opinion of Ming's Garden.

Over the years the restaurant quality has diminished. The food over the years looks like it's just getting prepared cheaper and cheaper and even the tastes aren't the same. The restaurant is gross overall. Clean and fix the damn bathroom!!

This place has a lot to offer! There are way more options than you could ever try in one visit! I will have to go back to try all the other options. Their crab ragoons were tasty. Their dumplings were really good. I really liked the stuffed mushrooms. The filling was great. And they even had hot apple pie on the buffet! I wanted seconds, but I was too full to do that to myself. Everything was hot. And the service was great. Thumbs up for this place tonight!

They have an excellent lunch buffet with a huge assortment of Chinese, American, and deserts. The dinner buffet appears to be the same delicious assortment of food with an increased price. They keep the food fresh and labeled. There is plenty of staff to keep your table clean and help out. The ice cream was wonderful with numerous flavors. Next time I'm starting with ice cream. Only the Ning's in Braver Fan has the buffet. The other restaurant in Lake Mills no longer has a buffet, despite what the website says.

I go there pretty often although it’s a hit or miss on the quality of the food. The owner that you pay when you leave has a terrible habit of going through the restaurant looking at people’s plates and their tickets to make sure no one is eating anything from dinner menu if they paid for a lunch. It’s very rude and frankly it’s sort of disgusting. If by chance a person has a single shrimp (which isn’t of good quality) she will call it out in front of the whole restaurant! That is the height of rude. The bathroom needs attention all of the time. It’s gross and the watered down hand soap is really a joke. That’s just plain greed. They forget that it takes money to make money. Eventually they will not have a business to be so frugal in.
