About Ming's Asian Cuisine

Ming's Asian Cuisine, located at 1045 Hamilton Pl Dr, Johnson City, TN 37604, USA, operates within the broader category of Chinese Restaurants, though customer reviews indicate a menu that extends beyond traditional Chinese fare to include items like sushi. This introduction aims to provide local users with a detailed and objective overview of the restaurant based on recent customer feedback, covering aspects such as the environment, services (as described), features (primarily food quality and variety), and any mentioned pricing.

The environment of Ming's Asian Cuisine appears to be a notable positive aspect for at least one reviewer, who described the seating as "nice and clean" and the overall atmosphere as "very peaceful." This suggests that the restaurant offers a comfortable and hygienic setting for diners. While the other reviewer did not explicitly comment on the ambiance, the positive mention of cleanliness is a significant factor for many patrons seeking a pleasant dining experience. The description of a "peaceful" atmosphere could also be appealing to those looking for a relaxed meal.

The services at Ming's Asian Cuisine are not extensively detailed in the provided reviews. Both reviewers seem to have dined at the restaurant, as they commented on the seating and atmosphere. One reviewer mentioned a "huge variety of foods and big menu," which implies a broad range of culinary options available to customers. However, there is no specific feedback regarding the attentiveness or efficiency of the service staff. Therefore, while the availability of a diverse menu is a service aspect, the quality of direct customer interaction is not clearly indicated in the given reviews.

The features of Ming's Asian Cuisine, primarily focusing on the food quality, have received a mixed reception from the two reviewers. One reviewer had a particularly critical experience with several dishes. They found the sushi to be "good" but noted the price of $13 for 6 pieces. In contrast, they described the duck as "not fresh," feeling like it was cooked days prior and being very oily, priced at approximately $26. The fried dumplings were also criticized for being excessively oily, to the point of being difficult to finish, costing $8. The hot and sour soup was described as having a "weird consistency," leading to an uneasy feeling after consumption, although the reviewer acknowledged it was their first time trying this soup. Despite these negative experiences with specific items, this reviewer did express a desire to try more from the "huge variety of foods and big menu," suggesting a potential for other satisfactory options.

The second reviewer also had a mixed experience, highlighting positive aspects of some dishes while strongly criticizing others. They "loved the egg rolls" and "loved the sushi," echoing the first reviewer's positive note on the sushi. However, they had a negative experience with "everything else," specifically mentioning "Pork fried rice where the rice was mush" and "The shrimp sauce is water with no flavor at all." This stark contrast in feedback on different dishes indicates a potential inconsistency in the quality or preparation of various menu items. The positive comments on sushi and egg rolls suggest these might be stronger offerings compared to the duck, fried dumplings, and pork fried rice, based on these two reviews.

Regarding promotional information, neither of the provided reviews mentions any specific discounts, special offers, or ongoing promotions at Ming's Asian Cuisine. The first reviewer did provide prices for the dishes they tried (sushi, duck, fried dumplings, hot and sour soup), which gives some insight into the cost of certain items. However, there is no indication of any broader promotional strategies. Local users interested in finding out about any potential deals or new menu items are advised to contact the restaurant directly using the phone number provided. Without any explicit information, it is not possible to comment on any current promotional activities the restaurant might be running.

In conclusion, Ming's Asian Cuisine in Johnson City, TN, offers a diverse menu that includes both traditional Chinese dishes and other Asian items like sushi. The restaurant appears to have a pleasant environment, with one reviewer noting clean seating and a peaceful atmosphere. However, customer feedback on the food quality is mixed, with positive remarks for the sushi and egg rolls, but significant criticisms for the duck (described as not fresh and oily), fried dumplings (too oily), hot and sour soup (weird consistency), and pork fried rice (mushy). The shrimp sauce was also described as flavorless. Prices for some items were mentioned, but no overall assessment of value or specific promotions was provided. Local users considering Ming's Asian Cuisine should be aware of these varied experiences and might want to focus on dishes that have received positive feedback, such as the sushi and egg rolls, while being cautious about items that have been criticized. The large menu suggests a wide range of options, so individual experiences may vary. Further investigation or more recent reviews might be helpful in making a more informed decision.

For those in the Johnson City, TN area looking for a Chinese restaurant with a large and varied menu that includes sushi, Ming's Asian Cuisine on Hamilton Place Drive is an option to consider. The peaceful and clean environment may be appealing. However, the recent reviews indicate a significant inconsistency in food quality, with some dishes receiving praise (sushi, egg rolls) and others facing strong criticism (duck, fried dumplings, pork fried rice, shrimp sauce). If you decide to try Ming's, you might want to inquire about the preparation of specific dishes or focus on the items that have garnered positive feedback. For any information on their menu, pricing, or potential promotions, please contact Ming's Asian Cuisine directly at (423) 328-7173 or +1 423-328-7173.

•Sushi was good. ($13 for 6 pieces) •The duck was not fresh (it felt like it was cooked two days ago) and very oily. ($26 if I'm not mistaken) •Fried dumplings were too oily too... I barely finished them. ($8) •Hot and sour soup had weird consistency and I felt very weird eating it. Although it was my first time trying the soup, so maybe it should be like that. ($3) I wish I tried more things. They have huge variety of foods and big menu.

I loved the egg rolls, loved the sushi but everything else, hard pass. Pork fried rice where the rice was mush. The shrimp sauce is water with no flavor at all. Very peaceful though. Searing is nice and clean.

Some of the food is good but some are very salty and not proportionate. They gave me a small bowl of lo mein for a big beef sihuan plate (it was very salty), then charge me $4 extra for a bowl of lo mein.

A fine lunch. $9.50. Kung Pow Chicken was excellent, so was the shrimp roll. The General Tso Chicken was large chunks, and a bit dry. Smaller pieces would be better
