While specific details about the restaurant's ambiance are not extensively described in the available reviews, the mention of it being a "really authentic dim sum spot" suggests a setting that is likely traditional and focused on the culinary experience. It's a place where the emphasis is on the food and the communal enjoyment of dim sum, a cornerstone of Cantonese cuisine.

Whether you wish to sit down and savor the freshly prepared dishes in the restaurant or prefer to enjoy them in the comfort of your own home, Ming Hui Dim Sum accommodates your needs. The staff at Ming Hui Dim Sum are reported to speak some English and Cantonese, and potentially Mandarin as well, indicating an effort to communicate effectively with a diverse clientele. While one reviewer noted a desire for pictures on the menu to aid those less familiar with Chinese cuisine, the availability of English translations aims to bridge this gap.

A standout feature of Ming Hui Dim Sum is its commitment to providing an authentic dim sum experience. The positive feedback from customers highlights the genuine flavors and traditional preparation of the dishes. One reviewer specifically mentioned their love for the

Another notable aspect of Ming Hui Dim Sum is its pricing, which is described as "pretty cheap" but can accumulate if a large quantity of dishes is ordered. This affordability makes it an attractive option for those looking to enjoy a variety of dim sum without a hefty price tag. It allows diners to sample a wider range of items, experiencing the full spectrum of flavors and textures that dim sum has to offer. The reviewer who placed a "pretty big order" also noted that the wait time was not bad at all, suggesting efficient service even when dealing with larger orders.

While the majority of the feedback is positive, one reviewer mentioned that the

century egg congee

was not available, and another congee option was not as good. This suggests that while most of the food is "pretty decent," there might be some variability or specific dishes that do not meet every individual's preferences. However, the reviewer still recommended trying Ming Hui Dim Sum, indicating that the overall experience and quality of the majority of the offerings are worthwhile.

Located in a convenient area, it provides both dine-in and takeout services, with staff who can communicate in English and Cantonese, and potentially Mandarin. Great dim sum in Chinatown! I loved the siu mai. As someone who isn't fluent in reading Chinese, I wish there were pictures on the menu for me to get a better idea of what I was ordering, since the English translations weren't always what I expected when I ordered.

Really authentic dim sum spot. Has dine in but can be to go as well. They speak some English and Cantonese. Maybe mandarin too. Prices are pretty cheap but can get high if you order a lot. The wait was not bad at all since I had a pretty big order. They didn’t have centruy egg congee and the other one wasn’t as good but all the other food was pretty decent. If you haven’t tried, I recommend.

One of the best small shop dim sum places in SF. Been coming here for years! Tip - if you plan on coming here, make sure to get here early because they do run out of the good stuff pretty fast. Sometimes, I get here past 1pm and I could only get a few items due to the others being sold out. As previously mentioned, this is a small shop and only accepts cash but BofA is right next door for those do not like to carry cash on them. I am coming again this Saturday morning, see you there! P.S. Sorry for the extremely late review🙏🙏🙏

One of the best dim sums I’ve been to! I loved the siu mai the most as it literally melted in my mouth. The chicken feet was easy to eat because it was supper soft so it was easy to remove the bones from the feet. The chive dumpling was also fantastic! First time having it and reminded me of soft vegetable dumplings. I highly recommend this place!!

Covid review: I was in the area and was craving dim sum. Mom and pop joint, cash only, I'm now so full, I look like a human sized burrito. We got the dim sum staples: shu mai (these were the best! So big!), Shrimp har gow and shrimp cheurn fun (wrappers were too thick though). Then topped it off with steamed custard buns (very doughy but super moist with good custard flavor) and dan tats (they're no GGB but still good). All in all, $13.50 for the lot. As for the space, tables block off full entry to the restaurant, so there's enough space to stay 6ft away even if others are already inside. Overall, check them out if you're looking for a quick bite.
