The menu at Mi Chinita Peruana features a variety of traditional Peruvian dishes that are sure to satisfy your cravings. From the tangy and fresh ceviche to the hearty lomo al jugo, each dish is prepared with care to bring out the true flavors of Peruvian cuisine. The restaurant is particularly praised for its ceviche, which has been described as some of the best in the area.

Customers also highlight the tallarines verdes, a pasta dish that offers a unique twist with Peruvian sauce. However, reviews note that while the sauce is flavorful, it doesn't quite pair perfectly with the pasta for everyone's taste. Despite this minor detail, the overall dining experience at Mi Chinita Peruana is highly recommended.

One of the standout features of Mi Chinita Peruana is its ability to transport diners back to their childhood through traditional dishes and authentic flavors. This sentiment was shared by a customer who visited for breakfast and was impressed by the lomo al jugo, chicharrones, and tamale, accompanied by a side of salsa criolla.

While most reviews are positive, there have been a few negative experiences reported, including instances where customers experienced severe illness after dining. These cases are outliers, but they remind diners to always be cautious when trying new foods, especially if they are sensitive to certain ingredients.

I’ve been here a few times and I gotta say the Peruvian food is solid. The Lomo and aeropuerto when we went in was good. The ceviche was great! Best I’ve had in this area. Another dab or 2 of the rocoto hit the spot. The tallarines was good but the sauce didnt mesh well with it. Overall a very solid Peruvian restaurant. I’d recommend. Update: Came in for breakfast for the first time and it was great. Got the lomo al jugo, chicharrones and a tamale. Ofcourse with an extra side of salsa criolla. I was very impressed and it really brought me back to my childhood.

I ate there for the very first time yesterday and ended up in the hospital violently ill. I don’t know where this restaurant gets all the good reviews. The service was good but for me to end up so sick in the hospital. I will be calling the city of Bridgeport to investigate as I have read other people have gotten sick from here too. My fiancee was even worse. This caused us a day of work and a hospital bill so I will be taking to a lawyer as well. Something here is not right with their food practices

Service was slow, takes a while to be seated even when you do reserve a table. I usually order out and am somewhat satisfied with my food but today it was pretty salty. Food takes a little while too.

Had an awesome lunch. I went in second time on 10/18 and we were 4 people in the party. 1. The food came at different times for each person. 2. There is no free water served. You have to buy something if you want a drink. 3. Beware if you are 4 or more in a party you will pay 20% additional as gratuity.

Ordered online for delivery. They were one of the few places open on Christmas for us lonesome souls, and I'd wanted to try them out anyway. I haven't had Peruvian food since I worked near port Chester years and years ago. I ordered chaufa de Camarones which is a fried rice with shrimp. I got plantains on the side and two desserts, chachitos and milhojas. Both of which are basically the same pastry with dulche de leches filling, but one is square shaped and layered, the other is like a stuffed croissant. My food was nicely portioned. Enough for two for sure. The rice dish was fresh tasting and tasty. The shrimp were large! They do cook with the tail (a pet peeve of mine) but I dealt with it. They gave me 4 little containers of a sauce. A creamy sauce that I drizzled over the rice. It was amazing. The plantains were good, not greasy. I like mine a little more burnt but I'm not complaining. The desserts were tasty. I could tell they were fresh though, but they weren't so stale that they were inedible, I was happy i got to see what they tasted like and enjoyed them. I'll definitely order from them again! Next time I'll go inside to get pictures and experience the service.
