Mencius' Gourmet Hunan Restaurant

Family of 5. Came here for dinner Saturday night. Seated right away. Ordered Orange Chicken, pad thai, egg rolls, cheese Rangoon (no crab in them) and a generals chicken. Orange chicken and generals were decent. Fried rice was bland and my son said he liked another fast food place’s better. The pad Thai was VERY bland. We had to add our own spice to it. But to my shock they added a 20% gratuity to our table of 5. Service was lacking. We had to hunt down our server for everything…apps came out with main food. I had to add spice. We probably won’t be back again.

Wow, what a hidden gem! This Chinese restaurant is an absolute delight. The food is incredibly delicious, with generous portions that will leave you feeling satisfied but not stuffed. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff who make you feel like family. And the best part? The prices are very reasonable! I've never had a better value for my money at a restaurant. The combination of fantastic food, lovely atmosphere, and affordable prices makes this place a must-visit for anyone who loves Chinese cuisine. Five stars and a big thumbs up from me !!!

This place is great. I called in an order for 10 people and they had it hot and ready in less than a half hour. The food was well executed though I thought it was a little flavorless. Nothing a little soy sauce couldn't remedy. Pictured is the shrimp fried rice and crab Rangoon.

Their triple delight is a flavor explosion that’ll make your day, combining shrimp, chicken, and beef in a tasty harmony. And let’s not forget the lemon chicken—it's so scrumptious that I could eat it every day and never get tired of that zesty goodness! Plus, their lunch specials are a great deal; you get amazing flavors without breaking the bank.

The service was great. The food was just plain run of the mill and the fried rice was uninspired. The best thing about the whole experience was the egg roll. It was a good value for what was offered.
