Customer Reviews
Love this place. Really good authentic Szechuan food. I got the bamboo shoots, pea sprouts, Szechuan spicy chicken, roasted (not Beijing) duck, braised fish, and Dan Dan noodles. The Dan Dan noodles were a little too salty and not spicy enough but everything else had amazingggggg flavors and weren’t excessively oily or salty. It really helps to know what to order, so if you are not familiar with authentic Chinese cuisine it may be hard to navigate the menu. Although their fried rice is also amazing, this is definitely the place to get out of your comfort zone and try something less Americanized. The service is what you would typically expect from a Chinese place. Some waiters speak mandarin and are very accommodating.
Chinese cuisine which really resembles more of a authentic mainland Chinese flavour, instead of Americanized taste. So if you are looking for American Chinese food, this is probably a bit risky. But if you want to try something authentic, this is the place. I don't think American Chinese taste is bad, in fact, I think it is great. But sometimes you wonder what authentic dishes really taste like. It is located in the mall, so it is spacious, kid friendly, and easily accessible.
The foods are amazing!!! Nice view great service!! The servers are kind and friendly, especially Joanne, Wendy, Kris, and Abby, they are responsible!very sweet! It’s a fantastic experience!!
Delicious Chinese food with reasonable price. Four of us ordered 5 dishes and it’s only ~180 dollars w/ the tip. Honestly speaking, this could cost me 50-70 more dollars for same dishes in New York. Really great food, authentic and in large plates. The pork feet is a must try. I’m gonna say I have dined in around 50 Chinese restaurants in the Great New York area and haven’t ever tried any like this one. Fascinating! And it took only 35 dollars, which could be 50 in the New York. Other dishes were also at excellent level. I went to the very restaurant in China several years ago and this one is no less bad. We sat in the yard outside the restaurant, but the service was still great, with our cups always full and tissue paper available all the time. Took one star off because we were been pushed to check out but apart from that everything was good. Will definitely come back next time travel in LA
When we made a reservation there were a lot of time slots available, the restaurant was not fully booked at all. Our party of 5 (including my Chinese parents from out of town) arrived for our reservation at 7:30. The inside was not busy, there were a lot of seats available but our host decided to seat us outside at a far table under heaters. The temperature was quite chilly and windy. When we got to our table I asked if we could be moved inside since none of us had warm jackets but the host didn't even bother to check and right away said "no, no seats inside". From our table I could clearly see a few empty tables through the windows that could fit our table of 5. My parents had to get up and walk back to the host and show her all the empty tables that we could sit at inside the restaurant and also let the host know I was pregnant and uncomfortable. Eventually we were moved inside to a table that was already set and ready for guests to sit at and I could see a few other tables of 5 that we could have sat at but they hadn't bothered to clean yet. The food was pretty good, we wanted an authentic Chinese menu experience and that is what we got. The duck was yummy (the soup could be a lot better). The beef dish that the server recommended was really delicious and so was the fried rice. I think the restaurant could be a lot better if their overall service was improved; by being more accommodating, friendly and attentive to their patrons.
