The best pork soup dumplings in Manhattan, I would have to say. Well done chef! Beijing duck was nice, but the sauce was a bit of too thick and salty. Shrimp crispy rolls didn’t taste too good. Nice restaurant, clean bathrooms. Staffs were very nice and kind.
Quaint spot in Midtown the Murray Hill section of Manhattan. Overall, very well kept clean location and appealing to the eye, which is why I stopped in amongst all the choices in the area. The location was empty for the last hour of lunch and while I was seated only two pairs of patrons joined at that time so not in the least bit crowded. Despite expecting 1:1 service based on those numbers they were not that attentive. There was no rush in their greeting as the host and server barely moved in acknowledging my presence. It was a nice day and opted to dine outside. My table was not cleared until the end of the meal as opposed to checking in and removing as I go. I ordered from the pre-fixed lunch menu and had shrimp dumplings and black pepper scallops. Presentation was pleasant but both seemed to be cooked a little longer than necessary. The scallops were slightly rubbery and not easy to cut through. I used the plastic chopsticks they supplied which should have been ample, I should have opted for the fork that was provided. There’s better in the area and they likely do well with take-out and delivery due to the Hospitals, residences and local business in the area.
PROs - nice interiors, good food CONs - service was good but not best Was craving Chinese food and found this restaurant in Manhattan . Went on a Thursday and it was empty . Lots of seats inside to sit and eat . They had lunch specials, but I wanted general tsos tofu . They said it wasn’t included in lunch specials .. and I had to order a general order !! There is also a bar inside . They had local beers and lots of other stuff .. Took sometime for the order to be taken and order came fast . Food was delicious though. Quantities good too. General tsos tofu was so good . Was a little sweeet though. Had to ask them hot sauce . Overall liked it .. 4 stars .. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️
The food was well prepared and so flavorful. Very nice to sit outside with good service. We had the scallion pancakea, cold sesame noodles, general tso chicken and bok choy. Large portions and not swimming in sugar or salt.
A nice find is Murray Hill, can see from the pics spiciness of the dishes and good portion sizes. Came out of the kitchen quick and hot. Chong chin chicken crispy and tender inside, got heat but not overloaded with crazy amount of pepper. String beans fresh and unwrinkled. Service was good except for a bit of lull in the middle of the meal. Place is clean and well decorated, give it a try with friends.
