About Maymar Cuisine
Maymar Cuisine is a restaurant located at 4221 Pleasant Valley Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23464, USA. Despite being listed under the Chinese Restaurant category, customer reviews indicate it is a Filipino restaurant offering "turo-turo" style service (point-point) with options for dine-in and takeout. They can be contacted at (757) 937-5799 or +1 757-937-5799.
Customer reviews of Maymar Cuisine present a mixed experience. One reviewer described the ambiance as "definitely uninviting," noting uncleared tables with chairs still stacked from the previous day's closing. They also pointed out that there is often a line due to customers taking a long time to decide and then socializing with the server/cashier, which resulted in four customers leaving the line behind them. The ordering system involves choosing small, medium, or large containers or entree items, with unclear information on whether rice is included. This reviewer found the beef steak to be "super salty" and the sinigang (vegetable with pork sour soup) to contain only a couple of pieces of pork. The turon (fried bananas) were noted as good.
In contrast, another reviewer expressed strong positive feelings, stating "I LOVE this Maymar!" They consistently found the food to be "always fresh and delectable," with "nice portions" at an "inexpensive" price. They also praised the "great customer service" and specifically mentioned the "coconut chicken" as a favorite, wishing it were available daily. This reviewer highly recommends trying Maymar Cuisine.
Based on these reviews, Maymar Cuisine in Virginia Beach offers Filipino "turo-turo" style food that is considered fresh and delectable by many, with generous portions at reasonable prices and great customer service. A popular dish is the coconut chicken, and the turon is also well-received. However, potential customers should be aware that the ambiance might be uninviting, and the ordering process can be slow due to long lines and chatty customers. It is also unclear whether rice is included with entree orders. The restaurant offers both dine-in and takeout services.

Customer Reviews
This place is typical Filipino turo-turo restaurant with seating available for dine in, although there are tables where chairs are still on tables untouched from previous day closing time. Ambiance is definitely uninviting. There's always a line here and the reason is that the customers are allowed to take their good old time to decide and then chit chat (tsismis time!) with the server/cashier. Today they lost 4 customers in line behind me because of the wait! You can choose small, medium or large containers or entree items, not clear if rice is an extra item (unlike other places where you pick rice or pancit with your entrees). I chose beef steak and sinigang (vegetable with pork sour soup). The beef steak was super salty. The sinigang only had a couple of pieces of pork. The turon (fried bananas) are good.
I LOVE this Maymar! The food is always fresh and delectable, they give you nice portions, & the food isn’t expensive. The customer service is great!!! I love the coconut chicken & I’d love for them to make it everyday lol Go try them out you won’t be disappointed!!!
i always go to Maymar in princess Anne bec all their dishes are good, my husband went to lynnhaven, and there's a Maymar close to that mall which is in pleasant valley. i told him to order ginataan langka, bec thats what i always order at the other Maymar branch. But when i tried the dish here, most of their dishes are super sweet. Langka was so sour and sweet, It doesn't taste ginataang langka at all, its more like atchara , also the giniling is super sweet, I don't like it at all. not going back to this branch. Love the other branch better.
One of the cleanest Filipino Restaurants in Virginia Beach… Their pancit is one of my favorites .. They are very friendly but the only thing is I wish they didn’t close early… 5/5 over all
I love the food! They give you a lot for what you pay for. The atomsphere was nice .
