About Maxim Chinese Food

Maxim Chinese Food, situated at 6051 Hollywood Blvd #101 in Los Angeles, is a Chinese restaurant known for its affordability and substantial portion sizes. The restaurant operates with food sitting in heating trays, similar to a buffet or Panda Express, which allows for a very fast serving process.

Customers consistently highlight the reasonable prices and the large quantities of food offered. For under $12, diners can get a huge plate that some find sufficient for two meals, making it a great option for those seeking value for their money. One reviewer stated that you definitely get your "bang for your buck" and would happily return for cheap eats in the area.

While the price and portions are generally praised, opinions on the food quality are more varied. One customer found the flavor and quality to be good for the price paid. However, others expressed that the food "leaves a lot to be desired." Specifically, the Black Pepper Chicken was noted as not tasting like black pepper, and the Crispy Honey Shrimp was described as gooey rather than crispy, unlike a similar dish at Panda Express. On a positive note, the vegetables were mentioned as looking quite fresh, and a friend reportedly found their soups to be pretty good. Another customer who sampled the BBQ chicken found it unremarkable.

The customer service is described as good, and the restaurant is noted to be clean. In summary, Maxim Chinese Food appears to be a suitable choice for those who prioritize quantity and affordability over high-end food quality. If you are looking for a budget-friendly meal with generous servings in the Hollywood area, Maxim Chinese Food could be an option. The price is right and the portions are huge! The flavor and quality of the food was good for what you pay for. It is sitting in heating trays like at a buffet or Panda E, so it makes the serving process super fast. You definitely get your bang for your buck and I would happily return for some cheap eats if I were back in the area.

The prices are reasonable. The portions are big, the customer service is good, and the restaurant is clean. But unfortunately, the food leaves a lot to be desired. I had their Black Pepper Chicken and the Crispy Honey Shrimp (don't remember the exact name). The chicken didn't taste like black pepper, and the shrimp was a bit gooey instead of crispy like Panda Express' Honey Walnut Shrimp. The veggies however, looked quite fresh. A friend told me they have pretty good soups. I sampled their BBQ chicken, and even that wasn't all that special. Come here if you prefer quantity over quality. For under $12, you can have a huge plate of food that can be divided into two meals.

Great spot To Go Chinese Food. Easy to miss spot at the NE Corner of Gower and Hollywood next to Subway. Food was fresh and great portions. Food can use more seasoning but overall great ðŸ‘ðŸ¼

Place has good rating so I decided to try. Tbh I was pretty disappointed with the flavor of the food it was too simple and bland. Also ordered a Thai drink (7/10) and they stuffed it with ice. Not the best spot I've Been to but this place isn't for me. It also is a little on the higher side on price range compared to other Chinese food spots. Spend 21$ just for 1 person. Employees weren't rude but a smile wouldn't hurt either. Overall a 7/10

Must eat. Panda Express comes nowhere near Maxim. Got tons of food, variety of entrees to choose from and tasted absolutely superb. With reasonable price? You can't go wrong. If you're looking for chinese food near walk of fame, strongly recommend this place. BBQ chicken was the GOAT. Wanna go to LA just for this food fr
