About Master Wok Livingston

Master Wok Livingston is a welcoming Chinese restaurant nestled at 112 Eisenhower Pkwy #112, Livingston, NJ 07039. Known for its flavorful dishes and warm atmosphere, Master Wok offers a unique dining experience that caters to both locals and visitors seeking authentic Chinese cuisine. The restaurant operates daily from Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM - 7:45 PM, and on weekends from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM, making it a convenient spot for lunch or dinner.

Master Wok Livingston is more than just a restaurant; it's a point of interest in the local community. The establishment prides itself on its diverse menu, which includes traditional Chinese dishes like General Tso Chicken, Orange Chicken, and a variety of noodles and stir-fries. The food at Master Wok is known for its bold flavors and rich colors, making each dish visually appealing and delicious. While some customers have praised the orange chicken as particularly tasty, others have noted that the general tso chicken lacks flavor despite its vibrant appearance. This inconsistency in flavor profile suggests that while Master Wok Livingston aims to deliver high-quality meals, there may be variations in the seasoning and cooking techniques.

One of the standout features of Master Wok Livingston is its cozy and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant's interior combines traditional Chinese elements with modern design, creating a warm and comfortable environment for diners. However, one customer review mentioned that the mall-like setting felt "abandoned," which may indicate occasional lower foot traffic or a more subdued dining experience during off-peak hours. Despite this, the restaurant remains a popular spot among locals who appreciate its charm and authentic offerings.

The service at Master Wok Livingston is another highlight, as noted by several customers. Staff members are friendly and attentive, ensuring that diners have an enjoyable experience from start to finish. The establishment emphasizes excellent customer service, which aligns with the overall goal of providing a pleasant dining atmosphere for everyone.

Master Wok Livingston also offers a variety of promotional deals and discounts throughout the year. While specific promotions may vary, they often include lunch specials, happy hour deals, and special events that cater to different occasions. These promotions make Master Wok a great choice for budget-conscious diners looking to enjoy authentic Chinese food without breaking the bank.

Customer feedback on Master Wok Livingston is mixed, with both positive and negative reviews highlighting different aspects of the dining experience. On one hand, customers praise the restaurant's ability to deliver flavorful dishes and its commitment to excellent service. For instance, one customer mentioned that they "really enjoy coming here for lunch," appreciating the quality of the food and the warm ambiance. Another customer highlighted the affordability of the meals, noting that they receive "plenty of food" that satisfies their hunger.

However, there are also some negative reviews that point out areas where Master Wok Livingston could improve. One customer shared a concerning experience where they fell ill after eating at the restaurant, reporting severe stomach pain and discomfort. While it's unclear whether the illness was directly linked to the food, this review serves as a reminder of the importance of food safety in any dining establishment. Another customer criticized the quality of their meal, stating that the lo Mein noodles were undercooked and the general tso chicken lacked flavor.

Despite these challenges, Master Wok Livingston continues to strive for excellence, offering diners a unique taste of Chinese cuisine in a welcoming setting. The restaurant's ability to adapt and improve based on customer feedback is a testament to its commitment to providing a satisfying dining experience for all patrons.

Food was tasty, service was adorable, atmosphere of the mall was “abandoned”. What I’m mostly upset about is that I woke up the next morning to the worst pain in my stomach I’ve had since 2021 kidney stone incident. It started the night before. I’d web up every hour to go number 2 and it wasn’t an impressive load. I carried on and went to work the next day and I was miserable. I had no energy. I couldn’t make conversation, get up without feeling like I was gonna fall over, I was freezing cold but sweat through both layers of my uniform. I ended up having to leave early because I needed to go to bed. I couldn’t concentrate on anything else. With a very expensive charity event my boss got me tickets for the next day, I was a hoping to be better. Nope. Still sick. That was Friday. Friday night I started liking. Saturday more of the same and even today. Wasted about $60 on Covid tests when I coulda just gone to web md. Either way idk if it was the food or the worker but this totally took me out for a very long time. I wake myself up in the middle of the night multiple times a night from moaning in pain then I have to run to the bathroom. I don’t get sick ever so sorry if I’m being a lil drama queen

12/21/2021 I paid $10.65 for 2 entrees. I got the lo Mein noodles with orange and general too chicken. This place is similar to Panda express so they give you enough food but the noodles wasn't cooked long enough and the general tso chicken had absolutely no flavor to it you would think with the rich color of the sauce on it that it would be very flavorful but it had not taste at all but the orange chicken was very good

Besides the food being disgusting and greasy (extra greasy even for American Chinese food), the people are extremely rude. I asked for a combo, and to put the rice (NOT extra, just whatever the rice was that came with the combo) in a small separate container so I could have a separate plate for my son and they wanted to charge me extra for it. No matter how many times I explained I just wanted the regular combo with the rice separate they wouldn’t do it. Even though there’s not a lot of choices at that food court, I’ll never go back to this place. The Japanese place near it has better food anyways.

The food was disgusting. I couldn't eat it. Who ever brought food on May 7 2021 a Friday. Please speak up . General T'os chicken was nasty. The rice wasn't completely done. The noodles was plain. The garbage it went.

Have been coming to this place since I was a kid, over 15 years ago. The lomein, bourbon chicken and general tsos still hits the spot. Was so glad to see the friendly ladies back when they reopened. Everything is to go now, but before covid I would still ask for it in a to-go container because it is a lot of food.
