About Manchu Wok

Manchu Wok is a Chinese restaurant conveniently located within the Food Court at Terminal 1, Gate C19 of Chicago O'Hare International Airport, at 10000 Bessie Coleman Dr, Chicago, IL 60666, USA.

Based on recent customer reviews, Manchu Wok offers large portion sizes, which some diners find to be a positive aspect, especially considering it is an airport food option. One reviewer felt that given the price and the context of being airport food, a 4-star rating was fair.

However, other customers have reported mixed experiences with the food quality. One diner mentioned spending approximately $14 for a meal they could only eat about a third of. Another customer who ordered rice, green bean beef, and spicy chicken found the spicy chicken to taste more like tofu and the green bean beef to contain very little beef, leading to an overall disappointing meal that did not meet expectations. This reviewer did note that the servers were friendly.

Information regarding the specific environment of the restaurant within the airport food court, detailed services offered beyond order taking and food preparation, specific features of their menu or cooking style, and any current promotional information is not available in the provided reviews.

Honestly not the worst option in the airport. Large portion sizes but quality is not very impressive. Considering price and the fact that is airport food, 4 stars is fair in my opinion.

Cost about $14 for a meal I ate maybe a 3rd of. I recently dined at Manchu Wok in ORD Chicago Airport and had a mixed experience. Upon ordering, I was asked to choose between rice and noodles; I opted for rice. Then, I was told to pick two additional items. I chose green bean beef and spicy chicken. Unfortunately, the spicy chicken tasted more like tofu, lacking the expected texture and flavor. Additionally, the green bean beef was predominantly green beans, with very little beef. Overall, the meal was disappointing and did not meet my expectations. The servers were friendly.

This is just a really really bad take on Panda Express. It’s inferior in every way, from the food to the selection to the branding. I wanted some orange chicken and mushroom chicken and this looked like Panda Express. The fried rice was so incredibly bland. The mushroom chicken had poor flavor compared to it’s counterpart, and the orange chicken was just not crispy. The portions were smaller than at Panda. It was just so disappointing. I’ve learned my lesson.

I’ve been coming to this place every time I get a chance for the past 20 years. The food is great especially for being at an airport. I’m hoping to figure out the spicy tofu recipe one day it’s my absolute favorite

The food here is okay, but nothing to write home about. The spicy tofu is kind of like a mapo tofu, very salty and with a very slight kick to it, but I wouldn't consider it spicy (like a 2 or 3 on a scale of 1-10). The fried rice has very minimal flavor, and I can tell they skimped on the soy sauce. The mixed vegetables were the star of the show of this dish. Perfectly cooked with a great crunch - not mushy at all! Good sauce too and not overly salty. I wish I had gotten more of them instead of the tofu, but I hit up Farmer's Fridge for a salad as well (highly recommend!) so that's all good. No maggots in them as another reviewer noted though, so I missed out on the extra protein.
