About Mama Qin

Welcome to Mama Qin, a Chinese restaurant located at 1525 W Morton St in Denison, Texas. As a member of the Chinese Restaurant category, Mama Qin aims to serve local users with a variety of Chinese dishes, offering a place to dine and potentially order for takeout or delivery. Based on the available customer reviews, experiences at Mama Qin appear to be somewhat varied, with some customers expressing high satisfaction while others have noted significant concerns regarding certain aspects of the food.

Regarding the environment of Mama Qin, neither of the provided reviews offers specific details about the restaurant's ambiance, décor, or cleanliness. One review focuses primarily on the positive aspects of the food, pricing, and service, while the other details negative experiences with specific dishes. Therefore, local users seeking information about the restaurant's physical environment will need to form their own impressions upon visiting or look for additional reviews that might provide insights into these aspects. As a typical restaurant, it can be assumed that Mama Qin provides a space for customers to dine comfortably.

In terms of services, Mama Qin likely offers dine-in options, as one review mentions "going" to the restaurant for the first time. It is also reasonable to assume that takeout services are available, as this is a common offering for Chinese restaurants. Delivery service is not explicitly mentioned in the provided feedback, but it is a possibility, either directly from the restaurant or through third-party delivery platforms. Local users interested in confirming the availability of takeout or delivery are encouraged to contact Mama Qin directly at (903) 416-9025 or +1 903-416-9025.

The features of Mama Qin's food offerings have elicited contrasting opinions from the two available reviewers. One customer had a very positive first experience, stating that they were "absolutely impressed" and found "the food was wonderful." They also noted that their picky child enjoyed the food, which they considered a significant endorsement. Furthermore, this reviewer praised the pricing as "the best I have seen in a while" and specifically recommended the "chicken curry" and "orange chicken" as being "really good." They also highlighted that "the workers were very polite and helpful," concluding with a strong intention to return.

In stark contrast, the second reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction with several dishes. They described the "egg rolls" as "hard and not great" and the "fried rice" as "the worst I ever had," criticizing it for having "nothing in it and nothing Asian about it." The "Szechuan Beef" was also heavily criticized, described as "only pepper steak spicy, very salty and had no Asian flavor," with a "sauce very watery and greasy." The only positive comment from this reviewer was that the "veggies" in the Szechuan beef were "cooked correctly." Overall, this reviewer found "nothing really special about this place" and would "kinda recommend skipping it in the future."

Considering these two reviews, the food features at Mama Qin appear to be inconsistent in quality and customer satisfaction. While some dishes, like the chicken curry and orange chicken, and potentially the pricing and service, have been praised highly, other dishes, such as the egg rolls, fried rice, and Szechuan beef, have been met with strong criticism regarding taste, texture, and authenticity. This discrepancy suggests that the quality of different menu items may vary, or that individual customer preferences play a significant role in their perception of the food.

Regarding promotional information, the provided reviews do not contain any details about current specials, discounts, or other promotions being offered at Mama Qin. Local users interested in learning about any such offers should contact the restaurant directly using the provided phone numbers: (903) 416-9025 or +1 903-416-9025. They may be able to provide information on any ongoing deals, daily specials, or loyalty programs that Mama Qin might offer to its customers.

In conclusion, Mama Qin in Denison, TX, is a Chinese restaurant that has received contrasting feedback from its customers. One reviewer had an overwhelmingly positive experience, praising the food (specifically the chicken curry and orange chicken), the pricing, and the polite and helpful staff. However, another reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction with the egg rolls, fried rice, and Szechuan beef, questioning their quality and authenticity. The environment of the restaurant is not described in detail in these reviews. Potential customers should be aware of these differing opinions and might consider trying the highly recommended dishes while being cautious about those that have received negative feedback. For the most current information on the menu, services (including takeout and potential delivery), and any promotions, contacting Mama Qin directly is advised.

My husband and I just moved to Denison and decided to order take out. After I checked the reviews I had high expectations this place would be good and it WAS! My husband was impressed how tasty it was. It was all fresh, ready within 15 minutes, reasonably priced, and large quantities too! We will be ordering more from here in the future!

Really good authentic Chinese food! Just what the area needs. Really clean restaurant with good customer service, fun/good food. I tried a little bit of everything and enjoyed it all. Really unique dishes and some old classics as well. I liked the fatty pork belly (so tender!) and the dragon ball soup. There’s a lot to explore here - and I’m excited to try the rest of the menu!
