About Mama Lau & Oc

Mama Lau & Oc is a Vietnamese Restaurant located at 5038 W Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32808, USA. They can be contacted by phone at (408) 337-9999 or mobile phone at +1 408-337-9999 for inquiries.

Based on recent customer reviews, Mama Lau & Oc offers a flavorful and authentic taste of Vietnam. One reviewer found the "lau mam" (fermented fish hot pot) to be the most delicious they have had in Florida, although they wished for "bun mam" (vermicelli noodle soup with fermented fish broth) to be available and noted that while the clam dish was well-reasoned, a larger portion of clams would have been appreciated. This customer expressed a strong intention to return to try more dishes when in town.

Another reviewer, who lives in NYC and visits Orlando, described the flavors and "humble setup" as reminiscent of home in Vietnam. They highly recommended the salad as refreshing and delicious, and found all the "ốc" (snail) small and big plates to be worth trying, highlighting the fresh cooking and impeccable flavors. This customer also praised the very good and friendly service, strongly recommending Mama Lau & Oc and expressing their anticipation for future visits to explore more of the menu.

Local users looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine in Orlando may find Mama Lau & Oc to be a promising option, particularly known for its flavorful dishes and friendly service.

Everything was so good!! Lau mam was on point but wish they had bun mam since we couldn’t finish the whole big pot. But it was the most delicious lau mam in Florida. Claim was perfectly reasoned but they could have more claim for the portion. Will definitely come back to try more when I’m in town.

The flavor along with the humble setup brought me back home to Vietnam! The salad is not doubt the best for me - so refreshing and yummy. All the ốc small plates and big plates are worth to try as we can tell that they are cooked fresh and flavors are impeccable. We live in NYC but we make sure to visit Mama Lau and Oc every time we are in Orlando. The service was very good and everyone was super friendly. Would totally recommend and look forward to going back and checking out all other dishes.

I don’t want to be mean. I just want to give feedback to your restaurant from my experience and I hope you can make it better and improve the quality of food. I and 3 other friends went to the restaurant and we ordered some dishes. The total bill was over $100 but we only ate a little bit :(((( one of my friends only ate the fried rice and the smell of oil was really old she got food poisoning and vomited after dinner. The hot pot was not fresh, the fish smelled stinky and we could see the seafood still frozen. I and another friend had an allergy reaction the day after. I really love Lau Oc so I hope you can improve the food quality. Thank you for hearing.

Would not recommend! They do not strive to provide good service or good food would be the best description of my experience. First off I was greeted with a irritated frown and rolling eyes from our girl server. She kinda smacked every plate and bowl on the table without making eye contact loudly and aggressively. The hot sizzling bowl of fish was dropped the hardest and splashed hot oil on my arm and face.....only then did she make eye contact with me and no apology she just looked at me dumbfounded and walked away with a blank face. The food was very bland (tasteless) I should have brought my own fish sauce or salt. The gratuity was included in the check for $30 wish I had cash so I only payed what was owed and could have deducted the tip out myself. I was very excited to try this place since I saw 4 stars but looks can be deceiving!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Thai Hot Pot and a variety of snail and clam dishes at this vietnamese dining establishment in Orlando off of Colonial Drive. The razor clams with the tamarind sauce, fried shallots, crushed peanuts are absolutely amazing. And you can't go wrong with their classic, the steamed clams with lemongrass and chili. Saved as my new favorite restaurant in Florida.
