Main Moon - Ashland, OH

Dingy hole-in-the-wall Chinese places are sometimes a goldmine of tasty plates and delightful experiences. Not this one. I heard tell it used to be good, so I stopped in to get something to go but when I opened the bag, the bottom of it was *full* (as in puddled) with grease. I took a bite and wished I hadn't. The oil tasted old. I didn't take another, and still, my belly started churning. A man's gotta believe in something...I believe I won't be passing by here again.

I’ve eaten here before and it was great. Yesterday is was bad. General Tso chicken was dried out, no sauce, rice was very dry also. The egg roll I got tasted bad. Like they fried it in old oil. Over all it was a major disappointment

Main moon is the best restaurant in the town , great place to order . orange chicken were so delicious. The chicken was amazing. It’s flavorful and affordable. I would recommend this places .

Wanted shrimp fried rice and they gave me cashew pineapple chicken and charged me 30. I certainly won't be back. And your rebuttal fell on deaf ears. You ran up a 29.94 tab on a mentaly challenged nephew for rice and crab ragoon. Shame on you

As soon as I walked in I knew I was to be left quite disappointed, but I always like to give a place an honest shot at impressing me. The interior shows the complete preference of the owner to supply Ashland residents with subpar take out Chinese food. The interior is uninviting to sit down patrons, reinforcing the take out business model. I ordered two of my staples, hot and sour soup and steamed dumplings. The soup was the ONLY redeeming item of my selections. I also ordered the Sezchuan shrimp and the triple delight with shrimp. The dumplings were completely bland, no flavor at all. And the dipping sauce provided was sickeningly sweet, virtually inedible. The Sezchuan shrimp had more flavor but was also disturbingly sweet. Typical Sezchuan dishes are hot and spicy to liven up the palate. This was cloying sweet. The same went for the triple delight with shrimp. Syrupy sweetness with a little background flavor, totally not in the taste profile of hot and spicy the menu indicates. Main Moon is the worst example of Chinese take out I have ever been to. I will never return and I strongly recommend you choose any other establishment for your take out dining.
