This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Main Loon based on recent customer feedback available online, covering aspects of their food and potential service experiences.

Dining Options: Likely Take-Out and Dine-In

While the provided information does not explicitly state whether Main Loon offers both take-out and dine-in services, it is common for Chinese restaurants to provide both options to cater to different customer preferences. Local users may wish to contact the restaurant directly to confirm the availability of dine-in facilities and understand the ambiance of the dining area.

Customer Reviews: Insights into the Food Quality

The available customer reviews offer direct feedback on the food served at Main Loon. One reviewer described the food as "pretty good" overall but raised a significant concern about the composition of their Kung Pao Chicken dish. According to this review, the dish contained a disproportionately large amount of celery, with "way over half" of it consisting of this vegetable. This suggests a potential inconsistency in the balance of ingredients in certain dishes, which might be a point of consideration for customers ordering this specific item.

Another customer expressed considerable dissatisfaction with their meal. They described the "flavorless food," specifically mentioning "pork fried rice" that contained no pork, "sesame chicken" that lacked flavor, a "pork egg roll" filled primarily with cabbage and devoid of meat, and "pork wantons" that also contained no meat. This feedback indicates potential issues with the flavor profiles and the inclusion of advertised ingredients in some of Main Loon's dishes. Such reviews are crucial for prospective customers to consider when making dining decisions.

Culinary Observations Based on Reviews

Based on the limited but specific feedback from customers, we can note the following observations about some of Main Loon's offerings:

  • Kung Pao Chicken: While potentially having a good base flavor, there is a possibility of it containing an excessive amount of celery, overshadowing other ingredients.
  • Pork Fried Rice: At least in one instance, this dish was reported to be without pork and lacking in overall flavor.
  • Sesame Chicken: This dish was described as flavorless by one customer.
  • Pork Egg Roll: One review indicated that the pork egg roll was primarily filled with cabbage and contained no meat.
  • Pork Wantons: These were also reported to be without any meat filling.

These observations highlight potential inconsistencies in the preparation and ingredient composition of some of Main Loon's menu items, which could impact the overall dining experience.

Menu and Potential Offerings

While the reviews mention specific dishes, they do not provide a comprehensive overview of Main Loon's entire menu. Typically, a Chinese restaurant would offer a variety of dishes, including different types of fried rice, noodle dishes (such as lo mein and chow mein), various chicken, beef, and seafood entrees, as well as soups and appetizers. Given the negative feedback on some pork-based items, customers might want to inquire about the preparation and ingredients of specific dishes before ordering. It would be beneficial for local users to obtain a full menu from Main Loon to understand the complete range of their offerings.

Environment and Services

The provided information does not include any details about the restaurant's environment or the quality of its services beyond the food itself. Aspects such as the cleanliness, décor, seating arrangements, and the attentiveness of the staff are unknown based on the current data. Potential customers who plan to dine in may want to seek additional information or personal accounts regarding the ambiance of the restaurant. Similarly, details about the efficiency and accuracy of their take-out service, beyond the food preparation itself, are not available.

Promotional Information

No promotional information, such as discounts, special offers, or combination deals, is mentioned in the provided reviews. Local users interested in potential promotions should contact Main Loon directly at (330) 652-9682 or +1 330-652-9682 to inquire about any current offers or loyalty programs that might be available.

Overall Consideration for Local Users

Based on the limited recent customer feedback, Main Loon Chinese Restaurant in Niles, Ohio, appears to have received mixed reviews regarding its food quality. While one customer found the food "pretty good" with a specific issue about the Kung Pao Chicken's composition, another reported significant issues with the flavor and ingredient accuracy of several dishes, particularly those containing pork. These reviews suggest that the consistency and quality of the food might be variable.

For local users considering dining at Main Loon, it would be prudent to approach with caution and perhaps manage expectations. If specific dishes mentioned in the negative reviews are of interest, it might be wise to inquire about their preparation and ingredients before placing an order. Obtaining a full menu and potentially seeking more recent reviews from other sources could also provide a more comprehensive understanding of the current dining experience at Main Loon. Given the feedback, it might be advisable to try a small order initially to assess the quality and consistency before committing to a larger meal.

In conclusion, Main Loon Chinese Restaurant offers a location for Chinese cuisine in Niles, Ohio. However, the recent customer reviews highlight potential concerns regarding the flavor and ingredient composition of some of their dishes. Local users should consider these points when deciding whether to dine at or order from Main Loon and may want to gather additional information before making a decision.

I hate to leave bad reviews. Spent $45 on food. Rice was gritty and underdone. Eggrolls tasted awful. Fried crab Rangoons were bland and flavorless. I also ordered the four seasons which is not on the cheaper side smallest portion anywhere I've ordered in addition to the green peppers in it tasting awful and unedidable. Sweet and sour chicken was ok but I didn't order dinner expecting 1 out of the 5 things we ordered to be good. Cant imagine ill be ordering again. Very disappointed for what I paid.😔

We Always Order Kung Pao Chicken as a guage of taste/quality. Unfortunately, The food wasn't ratioed correctly. Way to much diced carrots and vegetables -vs. the tiny portion of chicken. Nothing compared to Chef Chen in Warren. So far The Best Chinese Restaurant in the Area.

Meals were terrible! The rice was very dry and the chicken was very poor meat. The chicken had a lot of grissle and cartilage, almost every third piece you couldn't eat. Then the chicken with the other meal was over cooked and overly "crunchy". The chicken used must be low quality and grade. We asked for extra sauce for the one meal, offering to pay extra for it, and were told no. The guy said "there is enough sauce with the meal" and there was not enough sauce. Again, we said we don't want it free we just want extra sauce and he still refused to provide us any. That's a new one for us. We will not return to this restaurant again. We will spend the time and drive to Hubbard's Main Moon.
