About Mai Tai's

Welcome to Mai Tai's, a dining establishment located at 638 N Main St in Leominster, Massachusetts. Situated within the Twin Cities area, Mai Tai's presents itself as a Chinese restaurant that uniquely combines its menu with sushi offerings and a prominent bar service. This hybrid approach aims to cater to a diverse range of preferences within the local community, providing options from traditional Chinese cuisine to Japanese sushi favorites, alongside a selection of beverages.

Based on the available customer reviews, the experiences at Mai Tai's appear to be somewhat varied. One patron enthusiastically recommends Mai Tai's as having the "best sushi in Leominster," specifically highlighting the "sweet heart roll" as a favorite. This positive feedback suggests that the sushi aspect of Mai Tai's is a significant draw for some customers, with specific rolls being particularly well-received. The same reviewer also praised the quality of the Mai Tais, indicating that the bar service is another strong point of the establishment. Furthermore, they consistently found the service to be wonderful, contributing to a positive overall impression.

In contrast, another customer reported a less satisfactory experience during a lunch visit. This review noted that, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy (they were the only patrons not seated at the bar), the service was notably slow. Regarding the food, this customer found it to be average in quality but priced well above what they considered average for the area. This led them to believe that the bar aspect of Mai Tai's might be the primary driver of its business. Ultimately, this reviewer expressed disappointment and suggested that there are "most assuredly better options for Asian food in the Twin Cities area," indicating that their experience did not meet expectations in terms of service and value for the food.

Considering these contrasting viewpoints, it seems that Mai Tai's offers a mixed experience for its patrons. The positive review highlights the quality of the sushi and the bar service, as well as commendable service overall. This suggests that if you are primarily interested in sushi or enjoying drinks in a bar setting, Mai Tai's might be a worthwhile option in Leominster. The "sweet heart roll" appears to be a standout sushi item that is highly recommended.

However, the negative review raises concerns about the speed of service, particularly when not seated at the bar, and the perceived value for the non-sushi Asian food offerings. The assessment that the food was average but overpriced suggests that those primarily seeking traditional Chinese dishes might find better value elsewhere in the Twin Cities area. This discrepancy in feedback indicates that the strengths of Mai Tai's might lie more in its sushi and bar aspects than in its broader Asian cuisine offerings.

Given that Mai Tai's operates as a Chinese restaurant with a sushi bar, the environment likely reflects this dual focus. It might feature a traditional dining area suitable for enjoying meals, as well as a bar area that is perhaps more lively and caters to those interested in drinks and possibly lighter fare, including sushi. The fact that one reviewer noted being seated away from the bar while others were at the bar suggests a distinct layout with different seating zones. The ambiance could potentially vary depending on whether you are seated in the dining area or at the bar.

In terms of services, Mai Tai's undoubtedly offers dine-in options for both its Chinese cuisine and sushi menus. The mention of slow service for a lunch customer not seated at the bar implies that the service experience might differ depending on where you are seated and possibly the time of day. It is also reasonable to assume that Mai Tai's provides takeout services for its food menu, allowing customers to enjoy their Chinese dishes and sushi at home. To confirm if they offer delivery services, it would be best to contact them directly at (978) 890-3102 or +1 978-890-3102.

Features of Mai Tai's seem to include its dual offering of Chinese cuisine and sushi, as well as a bar that is noted for its great Mai Tais. This combination is somewhat unique and aims to appeal to a broader audience. The positive feedback on specific sushi items, like the sweet heart roll, suggests a focus on the quality and presentation of their sushi. The bar appears to be a significant part of the business, potentially offering a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in addition to their signature Mai Tais.

Promotional information is not provided in the available reviews. It is possible that Mai Tai's may have special offers on certain days, happy hour deals at the bar, or promotions on specific menu items. To inquire about any current promotions, customers should contact the restaurant directly.

In conclusion, Mai Tai's in Leominster offers a combination of Chinese cuisine and sushi, along with a well-regarded bar service. It appears to be particularly strong in its sushi offerings, with the sweet heart roll being a customer favorite, and its Mai Tais. However, some customers have experienced slow service outside of the bar area, and there are concerns about the value and quality of the non-sushi Asian food compared to other options in the Twin Cities area. If you are primarily interested in sushi and a good drink in Leominster, Mai Tai's may be worth a visit. However, those focused on traditional Chinese cuisine might want to consider other establishments in the vicinity. For the most accurate information on their menu, services, and any promotions, contacting Mai Tai's directly is recommended.

Pretty disappointed to say the least. Two of us were here for lunch last week. We were the only people not seated at the bar and the service was very slow. Food was average but priced well above average. Their bar seems to be carrying the business. There are most assuredly better options for Asian food in the Twin Cities area

Got takeout. Pretty standard Chinese food. The dumplings were not recommendable--they were extremely thick and doughy, even when ordered fried. The mustard was very runny but I feel like most Chinese places are all adding too much water to that now.

It seems to get better every time! Best asian joint around of the ones I've tried. Huge portions, really flavorful. Today we did the house special rice, the General Gau's Shrimp and the Basil Treasure. Cold Heineken, Strong Zombies and alcohol free Strawberries Colada.

First time here after living in the area for over 20 years, for some reason we’ve never known about this place. Food was delicious. I had the beef with peppers and onions. It was so amazing. We will definitely be going back soon.
