Mahjong Cafe & Bar is a Hong Kong styled Cha Chaan Teng located right outside Tangram mall. We were looking for something quick to eat, and this popped up. Staff is friendly, mainly speak in Mandarin/Cantonese but can speak English as well. Food came out quite quick, and was fast. The food offerings are similar to other Cha Chaan Tengs, with a wide range of breakfast goods ranging from noodles, salt and pepper porkchop, eggs, spam sandwiches, french toast, & more. Portions may be on the smaller side, but the prices are mainly less than $10 so it was well worth it for a quick bite. Food was enough to satisfy, but wasn't outstanding.

Mahjong Cafe & Bar is a Hong Kong style restaurant. It attempts to encapsulate the classic HK taste and atmosphere. From the decor to the food, they’ve certainly nailed it! As for the food and drink, their HK style milk tea is very good and authentic. It’s accurately prepped and brewed (using the proper, traditional filter and strainer). Their Chicken Steak with Black Pepper Sauce over Spaghetti is also very good. The thick sauce has just the right amount of spiciness, and the chicken steaks are very tender. Overall, it stays true to the HK spirit especially when you order the classic dishes and drinks!

Cash only - make sure you have enough before go in Budgeted breakfast options similar to Hong Kong style options. The real kicker is their milk tea which is very similar to Hong Kong if you know, you know. Quick with food and amazing restaurants design

This rice actually costs more than 14 dollar? It’s bland and tasteless—I suspect they forgot to add salt. Only the spam has some flavor. As you can see in the picture, there aren’t many toppings, just rice and a small amount of toppings. I will never come back again.

Food overall was "meh". Some of the Hong Kong style dishes which are classic for this kind of place, is now off the menu. Sad that I couldn't try that rice noodle that was in their previous photos. Good value was the lunch menu, steak with A1 ... It was sweeter than expected and very tender. Decent for the price. Fried fish skins were delicious but skip the soup, it was too cloudy and dark. Tasted like innards and minerals so that tells me it needed more rinsing. And skip the curry Squid and fish balls, very watered down despite the color. Spring rolls are vegetarian friendly and was quite good. But not what they are known for. Service was okay, not quite attentive but they responded when asked. I did enjoy my honey lemon tea.
