To provide an objective overview of what you might expect from Magic Wok, it's important to consider the feedback shared by recent customers. We've gathered a couple of reviews that offer insights into their experiences:

One customer shared a negative experience with several dishes they ordered. They tried the Szechuan chicken, fried wontons, and an egg roll. According to this reviewer, the "Szechuan" chicken was disappointing, described as "nothing more than bland brown sauce over 90% vegetables and 10% rubbery chicken." They also found the rice to be mushy and the wontons to be "really not great." The only item that received a somewhat neutral comment was the egg roll, which they rated as "average at best." This review indicates a significant dissatisfaction with the quality and preparation of the food.

Another customer provided a more nuanced review, mentioning a specific dish they usually order, which they believe is an "L14 with jumbo shrimp," prepared spicy with white rice. They noted that this particular dish at Magic Wok is "cool" and they tend to stick to what they know due to a concern about not being able to identify certain ingredients. This suggests a level of familiarity and perhaps some satisfaction with this specific order. However, this reviewer also offered a direct comparison to another local Chinese restaurant, "Chans," stating that Chans' flavor is better, and their customer service is also superior. Additionally, this reviewer made a negative comment about a female employee at the front counter with a short haircut, describing her as "too damn smart," which seems to be a complaint about her demeanor rather than the food itself.

These two reviews offer contrasting perspectives on Magic Wok. The first review expresses strong dissatisfaction with multiple dishes, citing issues with blandness, texture, and the proportion of ingredients. The second review indicates some satisfaction with a specific shrimp dish but also points out perceived shortcomings in flavor compared to a competitor and includes a negative comment about a staff member. Overall, the feedback suggests potential inconsistencies in food quality and customer service experiences at Magic Wok.

Neither of the provided reviews offers any specific details about the environment or ambiance of Magic Wok. Typically, Chinese restaurants aim for a casual and functional setting. Without any customer comments on the decor, cleanliness, or overall atmosphere, it is impossible to describe the environment of this particular establishment based solely on this information.

In terms of services, it is reasonable to assume that Magic Wok offers both takeout and dine-in options, as customers ordered and consumed food. The second reviewer's comment about their usual order implies a regular takeout service. It is not explicitly mentioned whether they offer delivery services. To confirm their full range of services, it would be best to contact them directly.

The provided reviews do not contain any information about current promotions or special offers at Magic Wok. Many local restaurants often have lunch specials, combination deals, or other promotions to attract customers. To find out if Magic Wok currently has any special offers, you would need to inquire when you contact them.

In conclusion, the recent customer reviews for Magic Wok, located at 1313 Market St in Harrisburg, PA, present a mixed picture. One customer reported significant issues with the quality and preparation of several dishes, while another expressed some satisfaction with a specific shrimp dish but noted a preference for a competitor's flavor and service, and made a negative remark about a staff member. Potential customers should be aware of these differing experiences when considering Magic Wok. For more information about their menu, services, and any potential promotions, you can contact them at (717) 236-3800 or +1 717-236-3800. As with any dining choice, individual experiences can vary, and these reviews offer a glimpse into some recent customer perspectives.

I ordered sezchwan chicken, fried wontons and an egg roll. The "sezchwan" was nothing more than bland brown sauce over 90% vegetables and 10% rubbery chicken. The rice was mushy and the wontons were really not great. The egg roll was the only thing I'd say was average at best.

This is what I usually get I believe it’s an L14 with jumbo shrimp and I get mine spicy! There’s is cool I try not to stray too far away from what I know because I don’t wanna be one of the ones that end up eating some sort of rat or something just because I can’t tell what it is. But it’s ok I get mine with white rice. Theirs isn’t better than chans. chans flavor is better. && Chans customer service is better!. That lady that works here with the short cut at the front is too damn smart

Ordered two lunch specials and was supposed to be under 10$ and when I came back to pay, both ladies at the counter said it was over 15$. False advertisement. Won't be coming back.

Amazingly good food. So hard to find good " any" kind of food nowadays. We had beef broccoli, vegetable lo mein, spicy shrimp and chicken garlic sauce. Everything was so cooked perfectly. A caveat was they took cash only. But again the food is good and cheap.
