About 鹵億鮮 Luyixian

Welcome to 鹵億鮮 Luyixian, a Chinese restaurant located at 2 E Valley Blvd #1E, Alhambra, CA 91801, USA. You can reach them at (626) 766-1568 or +1 626-766-1568 for inquiries or to place an order. Operating under the platform category of Chinese Restaurant, Luyixian offers a comforting and authentic dining experience, specializing in flavorful braised dishes and hearty noodle soups.

Based on customer reviews, Luyixian provides a pleasant surprise. Despite giving off a "small hole in the wall vibe" from the outside, the interior is described as "pretty spacious and clean," offering a comfortable environment for diners. The staff is consistently praised for being "friendly," contributing to a welcoming and positive dining atmosphere. The food is also generally well-received, with reviewers noting its excellent quality.

Parking in the area can be challenging, a fact that is not surprising to those familiar with Alhambra. However, Luyixian offers a potential solution with a "small underground lot" available if street parking or spots in the "upstairs" shared lot are full. This added convenience can be a significant benefit, especially during peak hours when parking can be scarce.

One of the popular dishes at Luyixian is the braised beef plate. Customers have noted the "big portions" and described the beef as "tasty and well braised," indicating a flavorful and tender preparation. While one reviewer found the accompanying vegetables to be "on the saltier side," they still indicated a willingness to order the dish again, suggesting that the overall quality is commendable. This generous portion size also implies good value for money.

The beef noodle soup is another frequently ordered item. One reviewer found the broth to be "on the lighter side" than their usual preference, suggesting that it might have a more delicate flavor profile rather than a very rich and heavy one. However, the soup was still described as "pretty tasty," and another reviewer who tried the pork spare rib noodle soup also enjoyed their meal. In the pork spare rib noodle soup, the spare ribs were highlighted as "tasty" and "fell off the bone," indicating a skillful braising process that results in tender and flavorful meat.

Overall, customers have expressed enjoyment of both the food and the staff at Luyixian, with many stating they "would come back again" to try other dishes, such as the braised pork. This positive sentiment and desire for return visits underscore the restaurant's ability to create a satisfying dining experience.

One reviewer who visited for dinner described the spot as "super low key casual" with an ambiance that "feels like eating at your aunt’s home," particularly noting the door to the second dining area. This description paints a picture of a relaxed and comfortable environment, perhaps with a more traditional and homey feel. The servers are also commended for their attentiveness, providing "large cups" of water to minimize the need for constant refills, a small but thoughtful detail that enhances the dining experience.

Further elaborating on the food, the reviewer who likened the atmosphere to dining at an aunt's home ordered the braised pork rice dish with peppers and the braised beef noodle soup. They noted that the flavors were "not as salty as other places I’ve had" but also "not as strong as I’d have liked." This again suggests a more subtle flavor profile in some of their dishes, which might appeal to those who prefer less intense seasoning.

Specifically regarding the braised beef noodle soup, the "beef chunks" were described as "on the tough side," which contrasts with the positive feedback on the tenderness of the braised beef plate. However, the "noodles were soft," and the "soup was pretty tasty," indicating that even with minor inconsistencies, the dish still offers enjoyable elements. The braised pork cubes with rice were also noted as "pretty tasty" and came with a small bowl of soup, offering a complete and satisfying meal.

The parking situation is reiterated by this reviewer, who mentioned that the on-site lot is shared and can be "pretty packed" during rush hour. However, the availability of an "underground parking lot where more spaces can be found" provides a valuable alternative, mitigating the parking challenges often associated with the area.

Based on the collective feedback, Luyixian offers a casual and welcoming environment with friendly staff. The food, particularly the braised dishes and noodle soups, is generally well-received, with generous portions being a notable feature. While some dishes might have a more subtle flavor profile and there can be minor inconsistencies in texture (like the beef in the noodle soup), the overall experience encourages repeat visits. The availability of underground parking is a significant convenience for diners.

For local users in Alhambra and the surrounding areas looking for a Chinese restaurant with a relaxed, homey atmosphere and a focus on tasty braised dishes and noodle soups, 鹵億鮮 Luyixian is a worthy consideration. The big portions offer good value, and the friendly service enhances the dining experience. While parking can be challenging at peak times, the underground lot provides a helpful alternative. If you appreciate authentic flavors and a casual setting, Luyixian is a place to explore.

Was trying to find a place for lunch on a random weekday. This place is excellent. Give the small hole in the wall vibe but inside is pretty spacious and clean. Staff is friendly and the food is excellent. I will say parking can be difficult but that shouldn’t surprise anyone in the area. Small underground lot if you can’t find anything upstairs Had the braised beef plate. Big portions, tasty and well braised beef. Veggies on the side were on the saltier side for my liking, but overall I’d get it again. Got the beef noodle soup as well. I thought the broth could be a littler more “rich”, on the lighter side than I usually like it. Not pictured but also tried the pork spare rib noodle soup. The spare ribs were tasty and fell off the bone. Overall enjoyed the food and staff. Would come back again to try some other dishes like the braised pork

Tried out this little place for dinner and it wasn’t too busy and we were able to be seated right away. This spot is super low key casual and feels like eating at your aunt’s home (especially the door to the second dining area). The servers were kind enough to bring us water with large cups so you don’t have to keep pouring/filling. FOOD: We ordered the Braised Pork Rice dish with peppers and Braised Beef Noodles soup. I will say that the flavors were not as salty as other places I’ve had, but flavors were not as strong as I’d have liked. - The beef chunks in the noodle soup were on the tough side but the noodles were soft and soup was pretty tasty. - The pork cubes with rice was pretty tasty as well. The dish came with a small bowl of soup. Parking: The lot on site is shared with other establishments so during rush hour it can get pretty packed. But there is an underground parking lot where more spaces can be found.

We had the opportunity to test out this restaurant after a considerable period of time. The cuisine was outstanding. We enjoyed the braised pork rice, braised beef noodle soup, braised beef brisket rice, and braised pork shoulder rice. All the dishes were excellent. We highly recommend ordering their chili sauce. It is excellent for both rice and noodles. They offer a larger space adjacent to the premises for larger gatherings. Their service is impeccable. They will promptly provide you with water upon your arrival. They are flexible with payment methods, including Google, Apple, and Samsung Pay. Underground parking may be somewhat limited in the event of an impending arrival of another vehicle. Beyond this, this establishment presents a satisfactory dining experience. We are fully committed to supporting local, small-scale restaurants in Alhambra.

I love this place so much that I drive all the way from Midtown LA to eat here. The atmosphere is friendly and well-lit, with no music, which is honestly refreshing. The service is quick and helpful, with large portions of food coming out blisteringly fast. I highly recommend the Beef Noodle Soup. The meat is incredibly tender and the broth is ideal. They might ask if you want it "spicy". I advise against this because the spice is actually just chili oil. It makes the soup a little too oily in my opinion, while not really adding much spice. Keep it classic. You'll love it!

This spot offers solid, traditional Taiwanese/Shanghainese comfort food. The place maintains a high level of cleanliness, and the service is truly top-notch. The staff's food recommendations are spot-on and they are super friendly. Don't miss out on their signature dishes—the House Special Braised Beef Noodles and the Braised Pork Rice Plate. The Beef Noodle Soup boasts a flavorful broth with incredibly tender beef. Their version of the Braised Pork Rice Plate is what I'd call 'Deluxe' compared to other places—it's exceptionally tasty and definitely worth the $14.99 price tag as of Nov 2023. I'll undoubtedly return to explore more items on the menu and highly recommend this spot! Quick tip: You'll find this restaurant nestled within an office building at the corner of Garfield and Valley. There are many underground parking available, so even if the ground level parking is full, it's still relatively easy to find a spot.
