About LUCKY WAY KITCHEN

Welcome to LUCKY WAY KITCHEN, a Chinese restaurant located at 152 Lockwood Ave in Yonkers, NY 10701. As a local Chinese restaurant, LUCKY WAY KITCHEN aims to serve the community with a variety of Chinese-style dishes, primarily focusing on takeout and delivery services, as indicated by customer experiences shared online.

Based on recent feedback from customers, experiences at LUCKY WAY KITCHEN appear to be somewhat varied. One customer, who was trying the restaurant as an alternative to their usual choice (which was closed), reported a negative experience with their order of vegetable fried rice and fried wings. The reviewer specifically mentioned that the chicken tasted as though it had been fried in old oil, and the fried rice had an unusual aftertaste that was not to their liking. However, this same reviewer did note a positive aspect of their experience, which was the fast delivery service.

Another customer shared a more complex experience. They mentioned having ordered from LUCKY WAY KITCHEN in the past and consistently having positive experiences until a recent order. This customer has a carrot allergy and always informs the restaurant to omit carrots from their food, a request they stated had always been accommodated previously. However, on their most recent order of Singapore Mei Fun, they found carrots in the dish. Upon contacting the restaurant to inform them of the error, the customer reported that the staff initially stated the chef had not included carrots. They were then asked to provide a picture as evidence. Following the submission of a picture, the restaurant allegedly suggested that the visible ingredient was not carrots but "garlic noodle," and further suggested that tasting it would confirm this. Unsatisfied with this explanation, the customer informed the restaurant they would be returning the dish in person to request a full refund. While the customer acknowledged that the person on the phone was nice and respectful, they expressed disappointment with the overall handling of the allergy issue.

Considering these two recent reviews, it's challenging to form a definitive picture of the consistent quality and reliability of LUCKY WAY KITCHEN. The first review raises concerns about the quality of certain dishes, particularly the fried items and fried rice, suggesting potential inconsistencies in food preparation or ingredient quality. The second review highlights a significant issue regarding food allergies and the restaurant's response to a reported error. While the customer had positive past experiences, this recent incident raises concerns about the restaurant's attention to detail regarding dietary restrictions and their problem-solving approach when mistakes occur.

Information regarding the environment of LUCKY WAY KITCHEN is not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews. As a restaurant primarily focused on takeout and delivery, the ambiance of the dine-in area, if one exists, is not a central point of discussion in the available feedback. Local users considering ordering from LUCKY WAY KITCHEN should likely prioritize the convenience of these services over any specific dining atmosphere.

The primary services offered by LUCKY WAY KITCHEN appear to be takeout and delivery, given the context of the customer reviews. The mention of fast delivery in one review suggests that they prioritize efficient delivery service for their customers in the Yonkers area. However, there is no information provided about dine-in options or any other specific services they might offer.

In terms of features, LUCKY WAY KITCHEN offers a menu of Chinese-style dishes, which includes items like vegetable fried rice, fried wings, and Singapore Mei Fun, as mentioned in the reviews. The menu likely encompasses a broader range of typical Chinese cuisine, but the specific offerings are not detailed in the provided information. The fact that they have historically accommodated food allergy requests could be considered a feature, although the recent incident suggests a potential lapse in this area.

There is no promotional information available in the provided data. To learn about any special offers, discounts, or new menu items at LUCKY WAY KITCHEN, local users would need to contact the restaurant directly at the provided phone number: (914) 968-5935 or their mobile number: +1 914-968-5935. They may also have online ordering platforms or menus available through third-party delivery services where promotions might be listed.

In conclusion, LUCKY WAY KITCHEN in Yonkers offers Chinese-style cuisine with a focus on takeout and delivery. Customer reviews present a mixed picture, with one recent experience highlighting potential issues with food quality and another detailing a problematic handling of a food allergy concern despite positive past experiences. Local users considering ordering from this restaurant should be aware of these recent experiences and may want to inquire about food preparation methods and allergy handling procedures when placing their orders. For the most current information on their menu, services, and any promotions, direct communication with LUCKY WAY KITCHEN is recommended.

Ugh I regret cheating on my Chinese food spot. They close on Mondays so I decided to try Lucky Way out. I ordered vegetable fried rice and fried wings and it tasted like the chicken was fried in old oil. The rice had a weird after taste as well. It wasn’t to my liking but someone else might like it. The delivery was fast though!

I have ordered food from here in the past and have had nothing but positive experiences, until today. I have a carrot allergy and I always make sure to let them know not to put carrots in my food. They always abide by this. However, today when they delivered my order of Singapore Mei Fun, it had carrots in it. When I called them to let them know, they told me that the chef said he did not make it with carrots. They then proceeded to ask for a picture. which i attached. They told me that it wasn't carrots I was seeing, but a garlic noodle. The chef then said that if i taste it I would see that it wasn't a carrot it was a garlic noodle. I then told them that I would be coming down to the restaurant myself to give them back the dish and I would like a full refund. Even though the lady on the phone was nice and respectful, the way in which they handled this was poor.

This place is one of the LAST still using their own delivery service, which no matter how you slice it, is cheaper than Door Dash, Uber, Seamless. I hope they stay that way. The food was decent, still better than Micky-Dee in my opinion. The delivery took as long or as short as they said it would. no surprises.

My wife & I have been ordering from here for a long time... We have never had a problem until recently. We ordered Chicken Wings w/ fried rice, General Tso Chicken & Beef LoMein. The Chicken Wings were great as well as the General Tso Chicken. BUT, the fried rice in all the dishes was lousy. Even worse was the Beef LoMein which was absolutely horrible. The beef LoMein had didn't even have one piece of beef in it. Not one piece. Go down the hill on Saw Mill if you want better Chinese Food. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Ordered take-out for two. It was ready very quickly. The food was less than average. They had no plates for serving. I asked for forks, and received just one. How are two people going to share comfortably? Also, it's a cash-only operation. I plan to never return. I suggest you should not as well.
