About Lucky Foong
Lucky Foong is a Chinese restaurant located at 77 S Central Ave, Spring Valley, NY 10977, USA. They can be contacted at (845) 352-9500 or +1 845-352-9500. While the platform category suggests meal delivery, the provided reviews do not explicitly confirm this service.
One reviewer, visiting from out of town, provided a detailed assessment of a takeout order. They noted the convenient, high-traffic location just off Route 59 in Spring Valley. The yellow pork fried rice was highlighted for its subtle and tasty flavor, which they found to be a distinctive positive feature compared to other restaurants. The egg roll was described as large and tasty with a crispy shell, and a side of four chicken teriyaki sticks was considered a generous and tasty portion. Napkins and flimsy forks were provided.
However, this reviewer also pointed out several drawbacks. Lucky Foong is a cash-only establishment with an ATM inside, which may be inconvenient for customers without cash. They do not offer beef teriyaki sticks and were unwilling to substitute an egg roll for chicken teriyaki sticks. The restaurant still uses older, smaller microwavable takeout containers. Additionally, no soy sauce packets, duck sauce packets, or fortune cookies were included with the order. The reviewer also noted the unclean appearance of the windows and the overall run-down look of the restaurant.
Based on this experience, the reviewer gave Lucky Foong a 3.0-star rating, citing good food flavor and average portion size but poor curb appeal.
In stark contrast, another very concerning review strongly advises against eating at Lucky Foong. A pregnant customer reported finding a cockroach in their food and expressed fear of potential illness. They also described rude behavior when attempting to get a refund. This reviewer stated their intention to report the incident to the health department due to the unsanitary conditions.
In summary, Lucky Foong in Spring Valley offers Chinese takeout with some dishes receiving positive flavor reviews. However, there are significant concerns regarding cleanliness and customer service, with one serious report of finding a cockroach in the food. Potential customers should carefully consider these recent reviews before ordering from Lucky Foong.

Customer Reviews
Today, we're in Spring Valley my hometown visiting relatives for the holidays. My son and I are in the process of visiting every Chinese restaurant in Chittenden County, VT. We always order the same thing. I order a chicken and broccoli combo with pork fried rice and an egg roll. My son orders a sesame chicken combo with pork fried rice and beef teriyaki sticks. Price: $22.75 or $.34/oz is consistent with the average price we would find in Northern Vermont. Portion: 4.2 lbs between the two meals is average. Pros: - High traffic convenient location just off Rt 59 in Spring Valley - Yellow pork fried rice had subtle tasty flavor (We find that most Chinese restaurants serving yellow rice to be rather dry and flavorless) Tasty rice is a distinctive of this restaurant - Large & tasty egg-roll with crispy shell - A side of chicken teriyaki sticks (4) were of generous portion size and quite tasty - They provided napkins and forks (albeit flimsy) Cons: - Cash only; They have an ATM inside (but who wants to pay an ATM fee if you're without cash) - They don't offer beef teriyaki sticks - They wouldn't allow us to swap an egg-roll appetizer for chicken teriyaki sticks. - They're still using older, smaller microwavable takeout containers which many Chinese takeouts have transitioned away from. - They didn't provide soy sauce packets, duck sauce packets, or fortune cookies. - The windows haven't been washed in years - Overall restaurant appearance seems unclean and a bit run down Impression: Convenient location in the heart of Spring Valley offering average portion size with good food flavor but poor curb appeal, earning Lucky Foong's a 3.0 star review.
I highly recommend NO ONE goes and eats their food. I’m pregnant and I found a cockroach in my food. It’s scary if I could of got sick because of it. I know a lot of family and children eat here so it’s upsetting. I went to get my money back and they were so rude about it. The health department gets a hold of this and their done.
This place is filthy. I found a roach in my food while eating, and they refused to give me a refund because I paid in cash.
I found a roach in my crab sticks. THATS DISGUSTING 🤢. Very unsanitary and I got food poisoning from these people. I REPEAT DON’T ORDER FOOD FROM THIS CHINESE PLACE.. THEY ARE DIRTY.
