About Lucky Dragon Restaurant

Welcome to Lucky Dragon Restaurant, a Chinese Restaurant located at 318 Broadway, Lynn, MA 01904, USA. As a Chinese Restaurant serving the Lynn community, we aim to provide a variety of Chinese culinary options for our customers. Based on the available customer reviews, the environment of Lucky Dragon Restaurant presents a mixed perception. One customer who visited for pickup described concerning observations regarding food handling practices. They reported seeing large, uncovered buckets of premade rice and cooked chicken wings situated close to the entrance, within potential contamination range from anyone entering. This customer found the open kitchen concept in this context to be "alarming and unhygienic." However, the other review does not comment on the environment, focusing solely on the quality of the specific dishes ordered. Therefore, while one customer's account raises serious concerns about the hygiene of the food preparation area visible to the public, we lack a broader description of the overall restaurant environment.

The primary service explicitly mentioned in the reviews is takeout. One customer ordered online and visited the restaurant to pick up their food, while the other ordered sesame chicken with veggie fried rice, presumably also for takeout as there is no mention of dining in. The first reviewer's experience was centered around the pickup process and their observations of the food preparation area. The availability of phone numbers suggests that phone orders for takeout are also accommodated. There is no information provided regarding delivery services.

Features of Lucky Dragon Restaurant, as indicated by the customer reviews, offer a contrasting view. One customer's experience highlighted several negative features regarding food quality and hygiene. They described the chicken in the chicken fried rice as not appearing fried and seemingly just added to already cooked rice. The egg roll was rated as "decent but nothing to write home about," the ribs were characterized as "more bone than meat," and the chicken fingers were "just okay." This reviewer concluded that the overall food quality was "far from spectacular" and not worth a perceived health risk based on observed food handling practices. They also mentioned developing a sore throat a few days later, which they suspected might be related to the restaurant's hygiene. Despite these concerns, they noted that the restaurant has an "A" rating from the state's health department, expressing skepticism about the consistency of their practices during inspections versus regular operation.

In stark contrast, the other reviewer had a highly positive experience, stating that the "sesame chicken with veggie fried rice" was "the best I’ve had in quite some time" and expressing happiness with their order. This suggests that the quality and taste of specific dishes at Lucky Dragon Restaurant can be satisfactory, and even exceptional for some customers. The significant difference in these two reviews indicates a potential inconsistency in food quality or hygiene standards, or perhaps a difference in the specific dishes ordered and the individual customer's expectations and sensitivities.

The discrepancy between the two reviews is a critical aspect of an objective introduction to Lucky Dragon Restaurant. While one customer experienced significant issues with perceived hygiene and food quality across multiple items, another found a specific dish to be outstanding. This lack of consistency makes it challenging to provide a definitive assessment of the restaurant's features. Potential customers should be aware of both the negative observations regarding food handling and the positive feedback on at least one specific dish.

Currently, there is no information available regarding any promotional offers or special deals at Lucky Dragon Restaurant. The provided reviews focus solely on the food quality and hygiene aspects. Therefore, we cannot provide any details about discounts, special menus, or limited-time offers based on the given text. To inquire about any current promotions or new additions to the menu, it would be best to contact Lucky Dragon Restaurant directly at (781) 595-8008 or visit their location at 318 Broadway, Lynn, MA 01904, USA.

In conclusion, Lucky Dragon Restaurant in Lynn, MA, presents a complex picture based on the available customer reviews. One customer reported serious concerns about the hygiene of food handling practices and found the quality of several dishes to be subpar. In contrast, another customer highly praised their sesame chicken with veggie fried rice. This significant difference in experiences suggests potential inconsistencies in the restaurant's operations. While one customer vowed not to return due to hygiene and quality concerns, another expressed great satisfaction with their meal. Potential customers should consider these contrasting viewpoints when deciding whether to patronize Lucky Dragon Restaurant. For the most current information on the menu and any promotions, contacting the restaurant directly is recommended.

I recently visited Lucky Dragon in Lynn, and the experience was utterly appalling. I had already ordered the food online, so I went to pick it up in person. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the sight of premade rice sitting in a big, uncovered white bucket. Right next to it, there was another white bucket filled with already cooked chicken wings, also uncovered. Both were in large quantities, ready to be refried. This setup was less than 10 feet from the door, where anyone entering could easily cough or sneeze, contaminating the food. The open kitchen concept might be trendy, but here, it’s downright alarming and unhygienic. Hoping the food would redeem the initial impression, I took home my order of chicken fried rice. To my disappointment, the chicken didn’t even look fried. It seemed they added the chicken to the already cooked rice, shook it around in a wok for a few seconds, and called it a day. The lack of effort was evident in every bite. Determined to give a fair review, I sampled the other items I ordered. The egg roll was decent, but nothing to write home about. The ribs were more bone than meat, and the chicken fingers were just okay. Overall, the food was far from spectacular, and certainly not worth the health risk. To top it off, I developed a sore throat a few days later, which I suspect might be from the questionable food handling practices I witnessed. Interestingly, they have an “A” rating from the state’s health department. I can only assume they must know when the inspector is coming because if they randomly popped up, this place would fail! Needless to say, I will not be returning to Lucky Dragon. If you care about hygiene and quality, steer clear of this place.

Delivery driver cant follow directions and kept calling my deaf girlfriend on the phone even though the instructions clearly say LEAVE AT DOOR. Never spending another dollar, since you cant even be bothered to follow instructions. It also took an hour to get the delivery, it was delivered by a third party delivery app which was disclosed AFTER I paid (a violation of consumer protection laws, as you must disclose this info BEFORE the purchase has been made) and the food was ICE COLD. They also never gave me the sprite I ordered and paid for. Absolute GARBAGE, AND THE FOOD WAS TRASH TOO.

It's take-out Chinese food, no more, no less ++++ it's our go-to spot, even on New Year's Eve, great service, prompt and delicious. One time I saw Marky Mark there, he was on his way back from the Bobby Brown show at The Lynn Auditorium. However, as of late their random up charges and inflation has costed them a star.
