About Lucky Danger
Lucky Danger is a Chinese restaurant located at 1101 S Joyce St B27, Arlington, VA 22202, USA. You can contact them at (703) 817-5213 or +1 703-817-5213.
Based on recent customer feedback, Lucky Danger initially impressed some diners with the quality and generous portions of their food, particularly the family-style meals. Some customers found the food to be authentic and delicious, noting the branding as a positive aspect. It was even considered by one reviewer as the best Chinese and overall Asian restaurant in Pentagon Row at the time of their initial visits.
However, more recent reviews indicate a decline in food quality. Some customers have reported issues such as receiving burnt food, inconsistencies in online order timing, and a perceived lack of care in the preparation of certain items like crab rangoons. One review mentioned a veggie lo mein that was overly sauced and had a burnt taste with unidentified bits. Another customer reported observing raw chicken left out in the open.
While some early experiences were positive, recent feedback suggests potential concerns regarding food quality control and consistency at Lucky Danger. It is advisable for local users to consider these recent experiences when making a decision.

Customer Reviews
Quality of the food was surprisingly good and higher than my expectations! Ordered the family style Meat OK meal for two and there was plenty, plus leftovers for two people. Hope this becomes a permanent location - best Chinese and overall Asian restaurant in Pentagon Row in my opinion. Food is authentic and delicious, and cute branding is a plus. Update: Tried Lucky Danger a few more times since they’ve opened (3-4 times), and the quality seems to get worse each time. Getting burnt food seems to be a frequent occurrence, online ordering/timing seems to be very off, and some things like crab rangoons look like someone’s taken a lazy shortcut. See pics. Disappointing. They have potential but need quality control. One time pointed out our order of scallion pancakes was burnt, and they apologized and offered to remake the food but it was burnt yet again. Stopped giving the place chances.
Ordered veggie lo mein, drenched in sauce, had a burnt taste to it. It also had these weird little bits in it, couldn’t figure out what they were. While I was waiting for my order, I noticed a huge tub of raw chicken sitting out. Good thing I don’t eat chicken. Wouldn’t come here again!
Food is made fresh to order and the chef was very courteous. Had Shrimp Fried Rice, Beef Lo Mein and the Sweet and Sour Chicken. Everything tasted very good. And their pork dumplings are homemade and they were delicious. If I'm ever to visit D.C again, ill be sure to order takeout from there
My boyfriend and I ordered for the Meat OK! for 2-3 and the dumplings for delivery. First off, major props for the packaging! Everything was labeled; the bags and stickers were really cute. The food was also really good. The duck fried rice and crab Rangoon was particularly delicious. The greens could have used a bit more cooking, but were tasty. We loved that it included such a great variety of dishes and proteins (beef, chicken, shrimp, crab, veggies). The portions were good-sized; the two of us had plenty of leftovers.
Finally tried out via a delivery order for lunch. Seems the pricing and portion sizes are meant to allow customers to try several dishes. I got: Ma Po tofu Chinese greens Spicy pickled cucumbers Chicken lo mein Pan seared pork dumplings The cucumbers, dumplings, and greens were good. Other two items not so much. Dumplings don't come with a sauce and you don't get a side of rice like usual for a dish like ma po tofu. The lo mein noodles were greasy and gummy. The chicken was hard and tough. Not sure I'd try anything else.
