Based on recent customer reviews, experiences at Lucky Chinese Food appear to be somewhat varied, with contrasting opinions on different aspects of the restaurant, including food quality, service, and cleanliness. It's important for potential customers to consider these different perspectives when deciding whether to visit or order from this establishment.

One customer expressed significant dissatisfaction with their experience, raising concerns about the restaurant's cleanliness. They described their shoes sticking to the floor upon entering and noted that the floor itself appeared dirty. This reviewer also expressed apprehension about the cleanliness of the kitchen based on the state of the dining area. Regarding the food, they labeled it as "terrible" and described the service as poor. Specifically, they recounted an issue with a to-go order being made incorrectly and an argument with the counter staff about the mistake. They further criticized the spring rolls as being just fried cabbage that seemed to have been sitting under a heating lamp and described the noodles as tasting "pretty instant." This overwhelmingly negative review concluded with a strong recommendation against visiting and a personal vow not to return.

In contrast, another customer offered a more positive assessment of certain food items, specifically highlighting the chicken as being "on point." They also noted that the serving sizes were generous and suitable for sharing. However, this reviewer did not give a perfect rating due to a discrepancy in pricing for combo meals, where the price differed between to-go and dine-in orders, with combo meals reportedly not being allowed for dine-in customers. Despite this issue with pricing policy, they still acknowledged the food as "great."

Adding another dimension to the service aspect, a third reviewer had a positive experience, describing the service as "exceptional." They specifically mentioned the staff packing their leftovers and deemed the service "tip worthy." This positive feedback contrasts sharply with the negative service experience reported by another customer, suggesting that service quality might be inconsistent or that different customers have varying interactions.

Considering the environment of Lucky Chinese Food, one review paints a concerning picture of uncleanliness in the dining area, with sticky and dirty floors. This raises potential concerns about the overall hygiene of the establishment. The other reviews do not provide specific details about the ambiance or decor, focusing more on the food and service aspects.

The services offered by Lucky Chinese Food include both takeout and dine-in options, as indicated by the customer reviews. They also offer combo meals, although there appears to be a price difference and a restriction on ordering combos for dine-in customers, which might be a point of consideration for those planning to eat at the restaurant. The positive mention of packing leftovers suggests that they accommodate requests for taking uneaten food home.

Currently, the provided reviews do not contain any information about specific promotional offers or discounts at Lucky Chinese Food. To learn about any specials, lunch deals, or other promotions that might be available, it is recommended to contact the restaurant directly at (619) 596-2978 or +1 619-596-2978. Inquiring about the menu and any daily specials might also provide insights into their offerings and pricing structure.

In summary, Lucky Chinese Food in Santee, CA, presents a mixed picture based on the available customer reviews. While one customer reported significant issues with cleanliness, food quality, and service, another praised the chicken and portion sizes, albeit noting a pricing discrepancy for combo meals. A third reviewer highlighted exceptional service. Potential customers should weigh these contrasting experiences. If you are considering Lucky Chinese Food, it might be prudent to inquire about their current practices regarding cleanliness and service, as well as their menu and pricing policies, when you contact them.

Beware.. if the restaurant is dirty.. imagine what the kitchen looks like… terrible food and service. Lady at counter for Togo food made an order wrong and when I mentioned it she argued back that’s not what I said… super rude but I also know what I ordered and said. As we’re walking to sit down my shoes are sticking to the floor… the floor is even dirty. Sat down and ordered extra food since ours had to be remade. Spring rolls are just fried cabbage that were on a heating lamp because she just turned around and came out the kitchen in an instant. The noodles were pretty instant too! If you like cheap quality food and dirty places this is it for you! Me, never going back, would never recommend

The chicken is on point - the servings are good size - people can share - not a 5 because the prices for the combo to go is different that take out - not allowed to have combo if eating in.. great food Exceptional service - she packed our leftovers - tip worthy service

Got bait and switched by the orange chicken. Saw a picture of the orange chicken and it looked delicious in the picture, actually eating the chicken was a different story. There was far more breading/batter than there was chicken - and the little chicken there was was fatty, heavily battered, chewy, and bits of cartilage in it. I had fried rice with it which was also not so great and was extremely dry. My family member ordered teriyaki chicken and there was no teriyaki on it and he also found it chewy. I’m not one to leave bad reviews usually but the price in my opinion exceeded the quality and I feel like I just wasted $50.

Absolutely the best Chinese food place I've been to. The portions are huge and very filling! Will be my new spot to go to!

I came here for lunch break. The food was fresh. I love a good American Chinese food spot. The chow mein and rice were on point. The orange chicken had white meat in it. The teriyaki was fresh. The jalapeno chicken was really good with extra jalapenos. The vegetable egg rolls were okay. The service was really great and fast.
